Bingo. That will be the state line. It was not a failure of a totalitarian state. It was fakers on the internet, so we must crack down doubly tough on speech freedoms. And watch a big push now for cashless society. Never let a crisis go to waste.
In the US, we are monitoring about 100 cases are sending people home and telling them to quarantine there until they get the test results back because the virus is so highly contagious we don’t want medical staff and hospitals to become infected.
All Airlines should be issuing masks and googles to all passengers at this point.
I was feeling sympathy for China re: the outbreak, until tonight when I saw a video of horrific animal cruelty re: the Chinese dog meat market. Dog being burned to death with a blowtorch, screaming in agony (death, of course, is not immediate). Apparently, animals are tortured horribly in China (and other places) because it causes them to make excessive adrenaline before they die, and humans who eat the adrenal glands enjoy all kinds of benefits.
Civilized nations need to force countries who practice this to stop. (Of course, our civilized USA tortures and kills its own pre-born human offspring...) How long, Lord?
I have the ability to work from home. But with only 5 confirmed cases in the US, it seems too early to request it.
The problem is that with a 14 day incubation period and contagious before symptoms, we don’t really know how many infected are in the US, and how far it’s already spread.
I’m thinking towards the end of the week, depending on how much it’s spreading in the US, I’ll make the request.
