A lot of people on twitter think the news cycle is focusing on this to keep impeachment out of the news. Or Trump’s defense out of the news. Or something.
well this is A LOT more interesting than the lame impeachment...but then again so is staring at a wall for hours
Bleach is great.
I often think we could solve just about all diseases if we could harness it without harming anything else. Cancer included.
You don’t even want bleach on your healthy skin.

It’s great for cleaning surfaces but not on a human.
Given a choice between bleach on my skin, and this coronavirus...let the denature begin...
Let’s say the estimates are off, and we are “only” talking about a 2% mortality rate. Evidently you have NO clue as to the ramifications of a (apparently) highly contagious disease with a 2% mortality rate.
Look, I’ve been making many posts trying to tamp down unwarranted rumors, “panic”, etc. But, 50 million deaths directly due to this virus is looking like a VERY reasonable projection, if the general run of info. coming out from relatively responsible sources is correct. And that 50 million deaths doesn’t even get into the collateral damage. One is either ignorant or insanely self-centered to dismiss such, if comforting themselves in the reassurance that any one individual’s personal health risk from 2019-nCoV is low.
“Vapors”? No. Steeling ourselves for what is looking more and more likely? Yes.
1st, I doubt just how seriously dangerous this is yet. We haven’t even heard yet the nature of those dead.
2nd, you don’t want to destroy your skin and let in muchworse infections.

I thoroughly saturate my dish sponge before I start washing dishes and then repeat that several times. I AM the dishwasher at my house.

I don’t think your figures are off at all. I would say a 2% estimate is realistic given what we know.

I’m ok with it IF the returnees are quarantined in proper facilities for the 14 days, tested, and kept under careful observation. We will likely learn some things.

Agreed on all points. I’m just following now what the Chinese are doing, versus what they say. Evacuation of US personnel and second hospital construction are more data points. Best.

US medical personnel will be aboard the Boeing 767 jet to make sure the virus doesn’t spread further if any of the passengers are infected.
It couldn’t be learned where in the US the plane would fly to.
