You make me think of my mother. She always talked to the ladies at the bank in the market and when it moved to its own building. When I went to close out her safe deposit box and told them she had passed they cried and hugged me. I was overcome. Nobody, in all the banks and lawyers and on and on had been anything but polite. These ladies were actually moved. I don’t think I’ll ever forget that.

Ditto that many times. I fear for the education the grands in California received. My granddaughter is entering college next year and is thinking about a science field like her mom. The good thing that I heard from her is that she doesn’t plan on voting because she is not informed enough on the issues and doesn’t have time right now to research.
The grandson is just going to start high school, and so far wants to be a maestro, so not that much damage can be done there. He’s the one that, in 4th grade, told me how bad capitalism and corporations are. Scary.

He loves Chili too and always adds some more stuff that he likes, don’t make it hot enough for him.

Just got off the phone with a close friend. Her daughter is a Marine coming back from Kiewit on the 6th. She had a reservation on the base from the 5th to the 9th that got canceled last night via email. When she called them today was told they needed the space for quarantined people, so all reservations on base have been canceled. This at Miramar in San Diego. She’s trying to get an AirBnB or something now as the hotels are full.
