CNN's Jeffrey Toobin: Trump won. He's going to win this trial. He won on the issue of witnesses, he's going to get acquitted pic.twitter.com/nNjzR7GIWS— Wojciech Pawelczyk (@PolishPatriotTM) February 1, 2020
Ok they are back on,kind of lost at this point.
I’m going to call my mom!
Lol!
What the hell Schummer is doing?
Witness votes again
The president should have the SOTU in the oval office. If the lunatic left is controlling the content of his address, he should give it from the oval office, where free speech still prevails.
Schumer is offering 4 amendments.
McConnell has requested to table the first one.
Now voting on the first amendment.
Previously, McConnell laid out the schedule to end in a vote at 4 pm Wednesday.
Then Schumer asked for a parliamentary ruling from Roberts and asked him to provide a vote to break any ties, using CJ Chase’s acions in the 1868 trial of Johnson.
Roberts declined, and said it is the Senate’s role to vote ending in a tie do not carry, and he, as a non-elected official, should not vote.
Pelosi has been trying to sneak off-stage and let Adam Schiff take the blame for impeachment but the blame for this absolute debacle is clearly shared by her and the party leadership— Jack Posobiec🇺🇸 (@JackPosobiec) February 1, 2020
Pelosi was backed into a corner.
The best they could hope for is to basically end up right where we were when this whole debacle started, very few minds changed on either side.
I like that and heard this.
1st Amendment by Schumer was to subpoena a bunch of WH officials.
It fails 53-47.
2nd Amendment is to subpoena John Bolton.
McConnell asks to table the amendment proposed, and the vote is taking place now.
Thanks.

Chief Justice John Roberts tells Chuck Schumer that the impeachment of Andrew Johnson is not "sufficient precedent" to break ties, says "it would be inappropriate for me, an unelected official at a different branch of government to change the rules."
Thanks again.
I’m getting this with your help!
Thanks, exit!
I’m with you dj - I lost track. I don’t even know why the dems are even allowed to introduce anything for a vote! If there are no witnesses, then shouldn’t they just be voting on the articles? Is this just another hail mary attempt to change the obvious outcome?
Or hes just throwing a tantrum because he hasnt gotten his way.
Vote on the second amendment is 51-49, with Collins and Romney voting with the Dems.
Motion agreed to and amendment to subpoena John R. Bolton, fails.
Schumer offers the 3rd amendment, similar to the first, to subpoena John R. Bolton with a date specific schedule for obtaining testimony.
McConnell declines and asks for a vote of the ayes and nays, now taking place.
