Buckingham Palace is understood to be 'disappointed' at Harry and Meghan's decision to quit as senior royals amid claims that the couple did not tell the Queen before they announced their departure on social media.
They made their announcement on their official Instagram account this evening following speculation about a move.
Following their statement, the BBC's Royal Correspondent Jonny Dymond said on Twitter: 'BBC Understands that no other member of the Royal Family was consulted before Harry and Meghan issued their personal statement tonight, the Palace is understood to be "disappointed".'
A Buckingham Palace spokeswoman followed up by saying that discussions with the couple on their decision were 'at an early stage', adding: 'We understand their desire to take a different approach, but these are complicated issues that will take time to work through.'

I don't think either one is strong enough.
The same could have been said about the Clintons. But they proved all of us wrong. I don’t doubt that Meghan and Harry seem weaker than the Clintons, but the quest for power can do odd things to people. We will see.

Historically, youths grow up and become conservative. But in the UK, that may not happen to the extent their culture is becoming watered down. Thus, Meghan and Harry MAY be more popular than the real Royal Couple in 20 yrs time. If so, then I *am* interested in how this may play out in the US (though I think Millenials will become good Deplorables in time).
