Thanks for your Sunday posts!
Chilly here, was 12 degrees at noon, but sunny.
cheers to All!

Well, we had a few inches of snow this morning, and when the sunshine hit it, it melted briefly and then turned into ice.
I hate it when that happens. Just snow or rain, please. Not ICE!
I slipped and fell this morning, but blessedly, didn’t break anything.

It is so cold today, my lab mix Moose can’t stay outside long. Would be perfect for a husky though .
Went to visit my rental horse today with carrot and apple pieces. It was not that cold standing with her in the sun, out of the wind. Was too cold to ride though. I missed seeing her last week, and had extra carrots and apples. Her 2 pasture mates got treats too. Was fun.
cheers for spring!

My Penny has a very short coat...the fur is less than a half-inch long, and she has a near-nekkid underbelly.
Her beautiful purple parka only fits like a horse blanket, with no undercarriage protection. So it’s “Strictly Business” when we walk in this weather.

January 20Clean Containers
Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers over all wrongs.
Proverbs 10:12Hatred corrodes the container that carries it. These words were spoken by former Senator Alan Simpson at the funeral of George H. W. Bush. Attempting to describe his dear friends kindness, Senator Simpson recalled how the forty-first president of the United States embraced humor and love rather than hatred in his professional leadership and personal relationships.
I relate to the senators quote, dont you? Oh, the damage done to me when I harbor hatred!
Medical research reveals the damage done to our bodies when we cling to the negative or release bursts of anger. Our blood pressure rises. Our hearts pound. Our spirits sag. Our containers corrode.
In Proverbs 10:12, King Solomon observes, Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers over all wrongs. The conflict that results from hatred here is a blood feud between rivaling peoples of different tribes and races. Such hatred fuels the drive for revenge so that people who despise each other cant connect.
By contrast, Gods way of love coversdraws a veil over, conceals, or forgivesall wrongs. That doesnt mean we overlook errors or enable a wrongdoer. But we dont nurse the wrong when someone is truly remorseful. And if they never apologize, we still release our feelings to God. We who know the Great Lover are to love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8).

Reflect & Pray
What things cause you to hate? How might the hard-hearted heat of hostility eat away at our personal joy and our worlds peace?
O God, help me surrender to Your great love that covers all sins and makes me into a clean container in which You dwell in love.

That used to be what my dogs looked like every time they came back inside during the winters when we lived in Germany. We had poodles.
They had to sit & STAY on a towel till the snow melted off, but I could hear them sneaking off the towel onto the linoleum. They were trying to tiptoe, but their toenails gave them away. LOL!

Probably. LOL! I tried to keep their toenails clipped, but was cautious so as not to make them bleed.
