Ron Rivera must really like a challenge. Over Daniel Snyder’s time as the Redskins’ owner, Washington is where good coaches go to die. Since 2000, when Snyder made Norv Turner the first coach he fired, not one coach has left Washington with a winning record. Even coaches with great résumés like Marty Schottenheimer, Mike Shanahan and Steve Spurrier couldn’t do it. Rivera is up next. The two-time NFL Coach of the Year with the Carolina Panthers agreed to be the next coach of the Redskins, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

I will say this, at least in New York, Garrett would be able to choose his assistant coaches and player personnel.
It would be interesting to see how he really is as a coach, rather than as a “puppet”.
And make no mistake, the next Cowboys’ head coach will also be a “puppet”.
Jerry is just being nice and allowing Jason to say ‘goodbye’ to everyone. He’s gone.

Daniel Snyder has built the same kind of dumpster fire that Jimmy Haslam has built in Cleveland.
Neither franchise has a chance with their current ownership.
Jones will have a difficult time finding another puppet..............

Are you kidden? Jerry will offer some assistant coach $3-4 million a year for a couple of years, and they will be lined up to the Rio Grande vying to take his money.

Now, Jerry Jones, to give him credit, is a great businessman. He’s just an awful GM.
Point being, he won’t attract a good coach. Forget about Urban Meyer, or Lincoln Riley or anyone like that.
I actually have the idea to make Sean Lee retire, and make him defensive coordinator, with the eventual goal of him being head coach.
Some players you can tell will be good head coaches, and that’s what I see in Sean Lee.
what the hell has Ron Rivera ever done? As soon as his QB went down the team looked like the Dolphins. But when Drew Brees missed 5 games, the Saint still went 5-0. THAT is a good coach. Dan Snyder is a moron, and should have just hired a good college coach instead.
Actually Jerry was hoping to get Sean Payton, but he re-upped with the Saints.
