Glenn Beck Declares War on Jamestown
Glenn Beck Program ^ | December 20, 2019 | Glenn Beck

Posted on 12/20/2019 12:12:16 PM PST by Pelham

The title is one that I had to create since this is taken from Beck's radio show.

Did you know that American history is divided between those who brought to the New World Kindness, Good Relations, and Freedom?

Versus those who "came over to rape this land" and who brought Misery, Slavery, Abuse, and eventually Cannibalism?

Well you can learn all about it from master historian Glenn Beck, who is planning to share this Forgotten History with lucky Americans in his coming "Restoring the Covenant" Crusade.

No one can say for certain what they would do it the situation.
I just hope that gravy was a option.

Just when I begin to think that Beck has returned to reality, he does something like this. Sad, but the intellectual dishonesty involved is staggering.

Let me make a suggestion. In one of Bancroft's mid Nineteenth Century histories, he details the Massachusetts response to the Quakers--a red hot poker through the tongue for a third offense. That was formalized in legislation. People should demand that Beck tell us of anything so extreme or bizarre in Jamestown--anything!

Persist until Beck stops trying to undermine American Conservative history.

My 9th great grandfather, John Stokely, was born in Jamestown in 1621.

Not sorry.

That wasn’t really an option. The drive for independence was every bit as strong in Virginia as up in the New England.

The war first erupted in the north because London decided to make an example of Boston and punish them for the Tea Party incident.

But Virginians were already forming militias and Patrick Henry had made his “liberty or death” speech before the opening shots were fired at Lexington and Concord.

While I used to appreciate Beck and learned a lot from him and his display boards back in the Tea party days (2009-2010) , Beck lost me when he tried to be a vociferous anti-Trumper in the run-up to the 2016 election of DJT . Does anyone remember how much Beck frothed & railed against Trump? I do and I shall not forget. Same with Mike Savage ( Michael Whiner) Nowadays Beck tries to pretend he never went there. He did and WE remember

Restoring whose covenant? I can’t handle Mormon Beck. Calvinist Beck? Sounds an awful lot like Bubba’s “New Covenant” campaign theme. Cheetoh Man picks and chooses what he likes, slops on the sugary sentimentalism, and hawks it in the public square. To the stocks!

I haven’t been able to sort out the conflicting records. My earliest Jamestown ancestor appears to be either a William Powell or a William Parker, ranging somewhere from 1609 to 1619. Seems like accurate record keeping wasn’t high on their to do list.

New England trying to fight on its own gets utterly crushed.

Don't forget the ancillary effects. France would not have been "all in" helping the colonists, spent less money, and the French Revolution may have played out later, differently or not at all.

New England was settled mostly by people from the area of East Anglia. Virginia was settled mostly by people from Wessex

That's for sure. Not to mention the reckless disregard for spelling and horrendous penmanship.

I've been fortunate that my people mostly came from states with good electronic records.

There are so many Becks it’s hard to know which one will come up.

There’s Rollicking Beck, who can be halfway funny especially when Pat & Stu are helping out. This used to be 9/10ths of the show way back when.

But then there’s Serious Beck & especially when it’s history he can be very heavy listening with not a yuk in sight.

Weepy Beck is the hardest to stomach, as much as Cheetohs Beck.

Mormon Beck hides his Merry Smithmas by pushing freeze dried food and storage safes. He blames Catholicism for his drunkeness and went LDS just to get on the wagon.

Apocalyptic Beck warns of the downfall of Western Civ if we don’t heed his every advice.

FWIW, when Spiritual Beck is away on some holy jaunt, his acolytes Pat & Stu do some really good comedy and IMO should change the locks and take over his show.

So.....why did Pilgrim Beck choose to attack a colony & people that ceased to exist centuries ago? Does he think the Salem Witch Trials suffered only from an excess of zeal?

Probably because someone ate the paper, and the pens, and drank the ink.

I listened to what Beck said about Jamestown and couldn’t believe it. I have long known that Beck is no conservative, but I never expected him to channel Howard Zinn.

Had an ancestor in 1650s who’s fishing boat floundered off the Carolina coast. He survived and walked home to Mass.

The journey on foot took him over a year, as I recall. When he arrived home he saw his wife hanging the washing out - he ran to her and hugged her.

Unfortunately, it was the Sabbath and people saw it. He was immediately placed in the stocks for a week. A 1650’s Welcome Home for a lost fisherman.

Beck’s noble and godly New Englanders were hanging Quaker women as well as suspected witches, driving Baptists into exile, wiping out neighboring Indian tribes and selling slaves to the Jamestowners.

Pretty much, Beck is an ignoramus so he probably never heard of King Philips War or the Pequot ‘War’ or that the Puritans hung a few Quakers and other interesting bits of New England history. Since Beck is both ignorant and fairly stupid the question is who on his staff wrote this yankee ‘Hymn of Hate’ and how did it get thrust into El Stupido’s hands?
