In a poll conducted by Mexico City's Reforma newspaper and co-sponsored by The Dallas Morning News and The Mission Foods Texas-Mexico Center at Southern Methodist University, 68 percent of participants said they did not believe Trump's wall would be effective, despite billions of dollars expected to be poured into the initiative.
It is still unclear exactly how much Trump's border wall will cost, if completed. While the initial price tag was thought to be around $8 billion to $12 billion, official and unofficial estimates have ranged from over $10 billion to $70 billion.
So far, however, the Trump administration has only built just over 85 miles of border wall, with a CBP report asserting that approximately 86 miles had been built as of November 22. What has been built has also been constructed "in place of dilapidated and outdated designs," according to the report, so, technically at the time the report was released, no completely new border wall had been built.
According to the new poll, the border wall was not the only point of disappointment among Mexican nationals, with participants expressing an overwhelmingly negative view of Trump himself.
According The Dallas Morning News, 75 percent of Mexicans said they have an unfavorable view of Trump.

We were on a trip to Mexico 2 years ago. On a tour bus, the driver made jokes about Trumps wall. She said that they aren’t worried because they will just dig tunnels.
It really ticked me off, what other country can you just dig tunnels or walk across the border and receive free “Everything” at the taxpayers expense.
This is an invasion and country take over without shooting one bullet.
P.S. only in Mexico because that was where a major supplier held their business conference.

It might stop trucks with Texas plates from turning up with cartel logos emblazoned on the side while they attack the city hall and police station in a place less than an hour’s drive from the border. That is, it will work both ways, because these gangs have staked out territories on both sides of the border.
Trump is right. They’re terrorists, we need to kill them when they attack, deport them to Mexico if we find them living here, and if they’re US citizens...which many probably are...sweep them up and either jail them for the rest of their lives or execute them. They have done horrible things.
Well, 2-1/2 years in and they’re seeing squat for a wall so far. Can’t blame them for thinking it just ain’t gonna happen.
Meanwhile, our legal immigrants support PDJT and want the wall.

Well then, we need to back it up with personnel with live rounds.
The wall should be the fundamental basis of border security with tech augmentation like motion sensors, sound discriminators and quick reaction teams to monitor and respond.
He’ll never be the head of a major corporation.
That’s why I’ve always said, pull some troops from Europe and put them on our border. The wall plus troops = a lock.
