Florida man tells police wind blew bag of cocaine into car
Quiz Time: Did Florida Mans explanation work?
Compliance will get you a break.
I was going 54 mph in a 40 when a cop passed me going in the opposite direction. I put my breaks on and pulled off the side of the road before he had his lights on.
Had my paper work ready, window down and hands visible.
He said, “thanks for not making me chase you”.
I handed him my paperwork and told him, “I had 54”.
He said close, I had 55, hold on.
5 min later he hands back my insurance, license and registration, and said, “I’m letting you off with a warning.”
...and that was that.
...but as someone else mentioned, they are not your friend.
Keep your conversation to just enough info to answer their questions. Be polite and keep your insurance and registration in s visor pocket.
Don't ask for a break when you have a joint tucked behind your ear while he is writing you a citation for speeding.
Never ever have a minor accident involving his cruiser.
You can register ANY car (no matter what the vehicle is worth) for $20 + $1 mail in fee.
Never ride with a mad woman.
“HE GOT WEEEED! HE GOT WEEEED!”
I never watch these shows, but rarely glimpse them when my son is watching them. My reaction is always Is EVERYBODY in our country a moron, criminal, or both?”
Also, no shirt = you’re going to jail. ;-)
To quote Sticks, they don't catch the smart ones. (Lucky for us, most criminals aren't smart.)
Re #19:
OMG the cop threatened to tow your wife’s car and your kids cried?
Then a different cop had a dog that barked and had “bloused pants acting all tough”?
Gosh, I can see why you aren’t pro police! I’d be devastated.
How can you go on with life? I’m just in awe.
Good one!
LivePD uses dashcam or body cam video released to the public. The only real cost tot he TeeVee folks is the editing equipment and the employees time to edit multiple video sources together into a semi-coherent story.
The show is a good thing as it demonstrates the level of crap police put up with every day - my sister was a patrol officer in Tucson for a dozen years before deciding it just wasn’t worth taking the crap from both citizen and the other cops.
It is, at best, a thankless job - and one that carries real risks, stress and increasingly, too much hate from an uninformed or propagandized public.

This is a former cop that lampoons the idiots seen in these police cam vids....

My kids used to say everyone in town wearing a cap backwards got stopped.
One night at 11:30 PM I was driving home from a basketball shootphotographers will turn their caps around when shooting. I forgot to turn it back around.
The cop pulled out behind me about a block from my street. I turn onto my street and the lights come on. I pull over and this rookie cop (we have eight officers in town) and comes up to my car.
He asks if I had been drinking. I said, not yet. Thats my house right there.
He looks at my license and sees where I live.
I ask him why he stopped me. He tells me it was because I turned as soon as I saw him. He thought I was running.
I said, It was the van and the hat wasnt it?
He just told me to have a good night.
The kids were right.
Its dangerous work, thats for sure! Give the officers lots of credit and thanks.

Notice they are not in our streets. Usually they are near MLK Blvd.
Well, you’re only partly correct. Live PD MOSTLY uses paid camera/sound men who ride along. They supplement with dashcam/bodycam stuff. It’s mostly the cameramen riding with the cops though.
True.
Why do you know all these things?
