George Conway, the husband of top White House adviser Kellyanne Conway, said on Friday that his wife was an "enabler" and "cheerleader" for President Trump, who George Conway has repeatedly described as mentally ill and accused of criminal conduct.
When someone tweeted those labels about his wife, George Conway responded: "she's both."
The Twitter user was responding to George Conway's previous tweet predicting that people would come to see Trump as both a "psychologically unwell man" and a "criminal."
Kellyanne Conway did not immediately respond to Fox News' request for comment.
The tweets were the latest in a series indicating tension between one of the president's top advisers and her husband.
George Conway was responding to President Trump's Friday appearance on "Fox & Friends." During that appearance, Trump said: "Kellyanne is great but she's married to a total whack job." Although the pair's marriage has come up multiple times in the press, Friday's interview included some of the most direct remarks by the president and George Conway on his marriage.
Trump, for example, suggested to Fox News that Kellyanne Conway was responsible for her husband's alleged mental instability.
"She must have done some number on him ... I don't know what Kellyanne did to that guy because I don't even know him ... She must have done some bad things to him because that guy is crazy."
The exchange came after weeks of controversy surrounding the couple. After a Washington Examiner reporter wrote about their relationship last month, Kellyanne Conway unloaded on the reporter in a phone call and claimed that her husband "gets his power through me." After the audio of that conversation surfaced, George Conway tweeted ominiously about knowing "narcissism."

So much for those marriage vows of love, honor, and cherish. This guy’s a slime ball.
Soon he will be physically attacking her. Lunatics do that, you know.
She definitely married down the food chain to be hitched to this load of stump.
This is no different than James “Serpent Head” Car-vile and it’s wife, Mary Matalin.
I remember Carvile and Matlin on the Sunday Talk shows. I think this is very different. At no time, did I feel James and Mary were being purposefully cruel, seriously trying to debase the other socially or personally.
It was a carefully choreographed duet of friendly, though spirited ideological, and philosophic debate. Something done with a snide little giggle, after dinner drinks and pretzels are passed out.
George Conway has turned a difference of opinion into a vulgar, shrill sort of street fight. Nothings off limits.
Just when you think he’s done his worst, he doubles down.
I’ll bet you anything there is physical abuse going on.
I don’t know what his End Game is supposed to look like,
except, maybe he wants his wife to be financially dependent on him, “like it used to be”, and thinks this is the way to make that happen. As primitive and stupid as it sounds.
Meanwhile, if George calls the president, and asks for a private meeting with him. Whoever is Chief of Staff then better just say Hell No! You can talk to us, instead.”
This will get worse before it gets any better.
No, I think it’s very difference than Carville and Matalin. I don’t remember C. & M. attacking each other like George Conway attacks his wife. I don’t remember Carville making deranged personal attacks on Bush 41 when Matalin was working for him. I don’t remember Matalin obsessively attacking the Clintons when Carville worked for them. Each may have been critical of their spouse’s boss, but it never got as nasty and personal as what George Conway does.
I pity Kellyanne. Her husband is a malicious POS.

Trump doesn’t need this drama. Tell Kelly Ann to either quit or divorce that weird looking creature.

There was a respect at all times, for each other.
I HATE to say it, but Carville NEVER bad mouthed his wife or spoke in a derogatory way about her.
It’s BAD when Carville has the moral high ground in a comparison.
He’s only saying these things because it makes money. Follow the money. I assume they laugh like heck over this at the dinner table.
This will resolve itself. Conway is debasing himself. He can not tolerate his own position. This is a genuinely brilliant man who is losing the ability to remain viable. This is a marriage that captures the broken nature of our culture. Kelly Ann is in the unenviable position of forever doing battle with the sick and the broken hate filled harridans of our nation both within and beyond her marriage.

I am not sure what the hell is going on but it is not good.
