JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) — Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin told a Christian broadcaster she learned her husband was seeking a divorce in an email from his attorney.
The revelation came in an interview released Tuesday with James Dobson, founder of the Family Talk Christian ministry. He said the interview had been conducted previously.
Palin said she received an email June 19 from the attorney, almost three months before Todd Palin filed for divorce on his birthday in September.
She described the filing that came shortly after their 31st wedding anniversary as devastating. “I thought I got shot,” she said.
Palin said they’re going through counseling and their marriage isn’t “over, over.” She said attorneys are “getting rich” off them.

Generally speaking marriages don’t ‘break-up’....there’s a long line of unresolved issues leading up to one or the others thresh hold of tolerance is reached or a specific line is breached.
I doubt in this case....Her husband has never been real vocal. Reminds me of the strong silent type. But when they act it is often in such a matter of fact manner as this.....
Also who’s to say it couldn’t have been Sarah with so meone else? Again, this type of guy would respond in such a way as I see it.
Actualy some would just move out without a word. They know better than to open anything for discussion and likely had many before they leave
And sometimes, people just outgrow the marriage and one another, or grow divergently.
Could just have been his way of getting her attention. I’ve seen this happen before. She said they were in counseling but often this is just to say they tried everything so they can walk away any way.
Throw what away? They don’t love each other any more. Get a divorce and start to heal.

I’m sure it’s tough being married to Sarah Palin. Not the person so much as everything that goes with it.
Do you think hubby is suffering from the following:

She's done her part, and paid a helluva price.

You could maybe sell this nonsense if we hadn't observed it and knew the story.
This describes my soon-to-be-ex-wife perfectly. 32yrs. I put up with her BS, which included her telling my children what a terrible husband and Father I am.
She sought a restraining order, which I easily beat in court, and during the hearing she was forced to admit she has a boyfriend.
My kids have finally seen for themselves what a horrible woman she can be. Karma will not be kind to her.
That statement reflects more poorly upon you than anyone else.
I suspect that's true.
There is a mindset that says, “What did you do to drive her to it?”
You also never know who a person, who has been glorified because of who his wife is, really is....we never heard of him until we heard of her.
My ex thought she was being cute when she worked to have our divorce finalized on her birthday - I told her it was such a gift I was going to start using that date as my birthday....
I have no idea why they are contemplating divorce, but I only wish them peace, unity, and healing.

Attorneys are bottom fishers, the judges allow it because they are attorneys - terrible.
