Star Trek actor William Shatner waded into a generational row last night as he took aim at the catchphrase 'OK Boomer' and feuded with a Twitter user who had blamed older people for millennial 'hardships'.
The jibe 'OK Boomer' has become popular among millennials and the younger Generation Z, who use it to show exasperation with older people and their opinions.
One Twitter user aimed it at Shatner yesterday but the Hollywood veteran, who was born in 1931, fired back: 'Sweetheart, that's a compliment for me.'
Warming to his theme, Shatner said he would 'wear that badge with honor' and embarked on a heated row with a millennial user, eventually calling her 'divaesque'.

Teens & 20-somethings today use “Boomer” for anyone in their parents’ generation.
Two of my grown kids use the term. But I haven’t heard them blame “Boomers” for anything.
They just say that “Boomers” don’t understand the higher cost of living (college tuition, house prices, etc.) for today’s younger generation.
Every Generation, blames the one before and thinks the one coming up next, is going to screw it up even more. ;)
Wilson was terrible, but he still didn’t think he could just kick the Constitution to the curb as FDR did.
That said, IIRC the so-called “progressives” managed to free government from the prerogative of citizens to pursue a private prosecution of a public right during his tenure (i.e. sue the government for violating the Constitution and exercising powers not delegated).
I don’t know what Shatner eats or drinks, but he is the sharpest 88 year old person ever.
Maybe it’s his clean CPap.
Young people should lead the way in splitting the country into two countries... One for 'progressives' and the young and one for conservatives...

can run their half of the country through intimidation and psyops...
In short, liberals can HAVE IT ALL.
All were asking is for the right for both sides to have their own country. Why won't they stand with us? THEY CAN HAVE IT ALL... JUST HELP US BUILD A WALL SO WHEN THEIR PEOPLE WANT TO ESCAPE THEY CAN'T COME INTO OUR COUNTY.
If that's too much we'll pay for the wall...
Our country will have the 'old' Constitution... and free and safe elections that stop voter fraud.
Why fight when both sides can 'have it all'... Time for a divorce...
