It really is sad. Biden has no fire in him. In most of his campaign videos he looks like he really doesn’t want to be there. So I’m guessing someone has talked him into running. But who?
It’s becoming more and more obvious that Biden is well past his “sell-by” date. He is more suited to assisted living than the Oval office.
I take no joy in seeing the decline of anyone of any political party slide down the road into dementia. Sadly, he will probably decline rapidly.
My father started the same way and was gone within a year.My dad was active until his late 80’s but once the dementia took hold, his grasp on reality declined to the point where he couldn’t remember names of family members or referred to deceased family in the present tense.
I see some parallels in Biden’s behavior. The “gaffes” the media loves to highlight are really the beginning of his slide. This incident should make it clear it’s time for Joe to go home and spend the rest of his life with his family.
As we are finding out with Coke head Hunter, the Bidens will do anything for money. Joe was probably promised he could keep any campaign donations after he drops out or loses - the left over donations would be worth millions. Almost as much as a Romanian Gas contract.

Interesting thing is what this does to the race; Biden has been a straw man throughout; obviously not fit to be President but the press formed this image of him as competent, a moderate and a nice guy - he is none of these and his staff can no longer hide the effects of age. So who is left - the solid base of the party, blacks, will not vote for a gay white man in large part so Buttgieg is out. Sanders is too old and too crazy even though he lacks any signs of Biden’s early onset dementia. Eliz Warren’s policies will be deemed too threatening by even the limousine liberals, who want to keep their lifestyles despite their rhetoric. And the rest such as Booker, Yang, etc. are minor candidates seeking the public spotlight. Who is left - the rematch for the aging but not yet senile Hillary Clinton.
