Raccoons are very curious and used to living near people, so they can sometimes seem very bold. A raccoon's natural response to a confrontation is to freeze and stare at you....NIKK..this happened last night. He looked in the doors of our cat porch.

Great pictures!
I had a dear friend from East Berlin that had married a solider. For years she was not able to communicate with her family, and on birthdays, holidays, etc., she would have some sadness. They had five children her family didn’t even know.
Anyway, when the wall came down, she couldn’t stop crying tears of joy, and immediately started planning a trip.

Sammy only showed up on our deck at dark and would disappear at the first light. We thought he belonged to someone who worked nights. Then I came home early from work and heard a cat cry..as this strange cry...I went to our under the house opening and yelled for him. He came out limping. I picked him up and it was the first time I noticed he was declawed on his front paws. He went to the vet that day to be checked out for a place in our home.
We're having a hard time with this new stray coming by. Its not easy to bring in a 4th cat. I actually haven't ever had 4 under one roof and I really hesitate to do this since one of our cats is old and is having issues. I don't want to upset him.

I can see it now, it won't be long before you are inviting him in for dinner. And don't forget to have him work for it.
Next I can see Rocky inviting his wife and family and you will build them their own perch on the Cat Porch.
Rocky likes to hang out and watch what is going on.
You don't even have to get up and open the door as Rocky is very resourceful.

Thanks for sharing that story.
My Uncle, who was in the Army in Germany, married a German girl.
She told me very heartbreaking tales of how life was before, during and after the war.
War is HELL!!!
