belated birthday greetings...

I did not intend to drop off the world yesterday but it happened. I posted the ping and then departed Jennys for a few days with first stop a hematology appointment about 30 miles NE of her place.

I ended up early for the appointment. one month early. So used restroom facilities and returned home .. got out cell phone... but NO cell phone. Dang, I had left it in the rest room when I washed up after potty.

so from my home a 45 mile journey to get phone. STUPID DOLLY. Well it was a nice day and beautiful part of NE Ohio so it was great.

So tired though at this point ... my phone charger had not been working. When I got home it was down to 24% and I really did not feel like venturing out to get it charged etc. Just bundled up and slept for about 6 hours. woke up and read a fw hours and slept some more.

Did stop at store and got new cord for the charger. Seems to work now. Had to wait for my SS deposit to do anything. Frustrating to live on the edge but everyone just does the best they can. I was finally able to get gas for van also.. good thing with the extra little day trip thrown in.

Not sure when (or if ) I will get caught up with rally watching. Miss being with you all to chat and to watch.

Another rally tomorrow.. yeah!

VIRGINIA (WRIC) — 8News has received multiple reports of voters facing issues across Central Virginia Tuesday morning.

RICHMOND

8News received multiple tips about ballot issues at the 1st Presbyterian Church polling location on Cary Street Tuesday morning. An 8News viewer told us that the polling location was telling voters that they had ran out of ballots.

Virginia Department of Elections Commissioner Chris Piper explained the early hiccups in an 11 a.m. update. He said Precinct 104 — First Presbyterian Church — is a single precinct with two districts. One of the districts has a smaller number of voters, so 150 ballots were ordered for that district, and 1,500 ballots were ordered for the larger district.

The Latest: Live Election Day updates

Somehow those numbers were switched, so the larger district quickly ran out of ballots, Piper said. They discovered the issue around 8 a.m. and 1,200 more ballots were delivered to the precinct by 8:14 a.m.

Piper said there will be no extension of polling place hours, therefore, anyone who left will only have until the normal 7 p.m. time to come back and vote.

Piper also said there was a problem with poll books in six precincts in Stafford County, resulting in some voters receiving the wrong ballots. He says the problem was quickly diagnosed and fixed, but that the wrong ballots that were cast cannot be reclaimed.

CHESTERFIELD

There was no electronic poll book to check voters at the Shenandoah Community Center Tuesday morning.

8News was able to discover that the polling center had received incorrect electronic thumb drives needed to check-in voters.

The issue was reported when the precinct opened and had people waiting up to 45 minutes. It has since been resolved.

According to transcripts that were released on Tuesday, Kurt Volker, the former U.S. envoy to Ukraine claimed that President Donald Trump did **NOT** seek to withhold or delay a meeting with the Ukrainian president unless they started an investigation into former Vice President Joe Biden.

The comments were made by Volker last month during a closed-door deposition and came when he was asked if the President delayed the meeting with Ukraine president Volodymyr Zelensky until he promised a probe into Biden.

During the same testimony, Volker was asked if President Trump asked Zelensky to “manufacture dirt on the Bidens.”

“No,” he responded. “And I’ve seen that phrase thrown around a lot. And I think there’s a difference between the manufacture or dig up dirt versus finding out did anything happen in the 2016 campaign or did anything happen with Burisma. I think – or even if he’s asking them to investigate the Bidens, it is to find out what facts there may be rather than to manufacture something.”
