The Dallas City Council on Tuesday approved a resolution that recognizes Indigenous People’s Day.
The resolution calls for a day that honors the Native Americans who lived on the continent before settlers from Europe arrived and eventually forced out the native tribes. The day takes place on what has been the Columbus Day holiday.

I’ll admit I never much give a rip about Columbus Day. Until now.
Not only will I plan to have a Columbus Day barbecue, I intend to wish everyone a I see a Happy Columbus Day.

Probably a snowballs chance you know where but it would be nice if New York started a Ellis Island Immigrants Day. A day to honor legal immigrants from all over Europe who came through Ellis Island and helped build our country. Included all 4 of my grandparents. They have the records.
I lived in Lewisville,north of Dallas from 83-84. Boy Dallas sure had changed since then. Actually the whole country has changed. And NOT for the better.
This makes me furious. The liberal city council made this decision out of the blue. Should have been put to a vote by the taxpayers of Dallas.
Too bad there aren’t any Neanderthals left to have their day celebrated.
