A rule of life is that everything the left touches it ruins: art, music, Christianity, Judaism, race relations, male-female relations, universities, high schools, elementary schools, late-night comedy, sports, liberty, journalism, the Boy Scouts, national economies, language and everything else it influences.
The left, not liberalism. (I have written a column and done a PragerU video on the differences between liberalism and leftism.)
To this list, we can now add childhood and children.
Most of us are aware of how the left prematurely introduced sexuality into young children’s lives under the guise of “sex education.” That was just the beginning. Then the left changed same-sex college dorms, which had been the norm throughout American history, into coed dorms on virtually every American campus. Then came coed bathrooms. And just in case college students were not thinking about — or having enough — sex, the left introduced sex columns in college newspapers and “sex week” on virtually every college campus. One is more graphic than the other.
After reading a college newspaper sex column or experiencing the college’s sex week, a student could easily conclude that without having experienced a menage a trois and mastering cunnilingus or fellatio techniques, life is neither exciting nor fulfilling.
There are many reasons a greater percentage of college students are more depressed than ever before. But the immersion in loveless and romance-less sex is undoubtedly one of them. That is what contributes to the especially high rate of female depression on campuses.
The left hypersexualized colleges and now laments that colleges are all filled with a “rape culture.”
An unprecedentedly large percentage of young Americans are not married, and more of them than ever do not consider marriage important. The left has indoctrinated a generation (or two) of young Americans into believing that marriage is unimportant — career alone is the road to a meaningful life for both men and women. Throughout American history, until the left took over the culture and universities beginning in the 1960s, it was a given, as Frank Sinatra sang, that “love and marriage … go together like a horse and carriage.”
The left is ambivalent and often hostile to people having children. That’s why people on the left have the fewest children of all political and religious groups.
The latest reason not to have children is that much of humanity is doomed if global warming is not immediately reversed. But since the 1970s, the left has offered other reasons not to have children including that the world would not produce nearly enough food and other basic resources to sustain the growing world population. Thus began the zero population growth (ZPG) movement.
But the left’s ambivalence over having children isn’t just hysteria over too many people, lack of food or global warming. Many people on the left (again, unlike liberals or conservatives) just don’t particularly want kids. Children are a nuisance: They interfere with one’s career; they cost too much; and dogs and cats are perfectly acceptable substitutes.
In sum, the left doesn’t particularly like children.
The left has invented a new idea in history: that human beings are not born male or female but are “assigned” their sex at birth by sexist parents, physicians and a society that is not yet “woke” to this “fact.” In schools throughout America, teachers are told to no longer call their students “boys” and “girls,” just “students,” lest they impose a gender identity on them. Mattel has released a doll that has no gender. A New York Times columnist whose photo shows him with a beard has requested that his readers refer to him only as “they,” as he believes gender is useless.
Teenage girls who declare themselves boys are allowed to have their breasts surgically removed without their parents’ permission. Divorced parents who tell their 5-year-old male child who feels he is a girl that he is a boy risk losing custody or parental rights if the other parent affirms the child is a girl. Girls who compete in sports against boys who identify as females and complain that they lose unfairly are attacked as “transphobic.”
The left tells American children that their past — the American past — is shameful and their future is even worse: They will likely die prematurely as a result of global warming.
Whatever the left touches it ruins. The latest example is children.

The left will claim they love America. And technically speaking, I think they do. I think they love this chunk of land that we call the United States of America.
The left hates the idea of liberty, self reliance, and capitalism. The left also hates anyone who doesn’t agree with them.
But they love America.

I totally agree, and I’ve said it many times. Unfortunately, I’m not optimist, more of a realist. I think we’ve passed the point of no return. The left is just waiting for those of my ilk to die off, then socialism will be the order of the day.
It’s terrifying, but I think our fate has been sealed.
I love how the left tirelessly calls this a racist nation and everyone here are “racist Nazis”-——then tell illegals to come here because it’s their last hope for a great life....huh?
I once heard (in a college classroom) some BS that secular humanism is a socially liberal ideology/philosophy where human beings are generally considered good.
Well when the rubber meets the road, almost everything they seem to say and that they stand for says exactly the opposite. These people have nothing but contempt for human beings, and a complete lack of trust. They have a generally negative view of people, and their stances show that people need to be led, not freed, and that they need to be protected (as victims), rather than trusted with their own responsibilities and the outcome of their own fate.
LGBT acceptance among the younger groups has dropped from 60ish percent to 40ish percent in the past 2 years.
Tides can change.
I’m sure folks in the 60s thought smoking pot and free love and all around laziness and the complete decay of america were around the corner.

I would love for you to be right. But, the influence of the media is strong, and corrosive. The media being a leftist megaphone is a byproduct of allowing the left to control the educational system.
In the game of life, I’m rounding 3rd and headed for home. So, if the indoctrinated vote for some of that good old time socialism, they will have to be the ones to shoot their way out of it. I’ll be long gone.

They like to refer to us as senior citizens, old fogies, geezers, and in some cases dinosaurs. Some of us are “Baby Boomers” getting ready to retire Others have been retired for some time. We walk a little slower these days and our eyes and hearing are not what they once were. We worked hard, raised our children, worshiped our God and have grown old together.
In school we studied English, history, math, and science, which enabled us to lead America into the technological age. Most of us remember what outhouses were, many of us with firsthand experience. We remember the days of telephone party-lines, 25 cent gasoline, and milk and ice being delivered to our homes.
We are probably considered old fashioned and outdated by many. But there are a few things you need to remember before completely writing us off. We won World War II, fought in Korea and VietNam. We can quote The Pledge of Allegiance, and know where to place our hand while doing so. We wore the uniform of our country with pride, and lost many friends on the battlefield. We didn’t fight for the Socialist States of America; we fought for the “Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.” We wore different uniforms but carried the same flag.
We know the words to the “Star Spangled Banner,” “America,” and “America the Beautiful” by heart, and you may even see some tears running down our cheeks as we sing. We have lived what many of you should have read in history books and we feel no obligation to apologize to anyone for America .
Yes, we are old and slow these days but rest assured, we have at least one good fight left in us. We have loved this country, fought for it, and died for it, and now we are going to save it. It is our country and nobody is going to take it away from us. We took oaths to defend America against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and that is an oath we plan to keep. There are those who want to destroy this land we love but, like our founders, there is no way we are going to remain silent.
It was mostly the young people of this nation who elected Obama and the Democratic Congress. You fell for the “Hope and Change” which in reality was nothing but “Hype and Lies” from your college professors. You youngsters need to taste socialism and see evil face to face to understand you don’t like it after all. You make a lot of noise, most are all too interested in their careers or “Climbing the Social Ladder” to be involved in such mundane things as patriotism and voting. Many of those who fell for the “Great Lie” in 2008 are now having buyer’s remorse. With all the education we gave you, you didn’t have sense enough to see through the lies and instead drank the ‘Kool-Aid.’
Well, don’t worry youngsters, the Grey-Haired Brigade is here, and in 2016 we took back our nation. We may drive a little slower than you would like, but we get where we’re going, and in 2020 we’re driving to the polls again by the millions. So the next time you have the chance to say the Pledge of Allegiance, stand up, put your hand over your heart, honor your country, and thank God for the old geezers of the “Gray-Haired Brigade.”

We always talk about broken glass conservatives but in this case it may not be a metaphor given the violent crazies like antifa and worse left-wing gangs. Blowback is going to be the main force of The Perfect Storm winds to come.

There is always some hope. But we both agree, the prospects aren’t good.
That’s nice of you to say, I’ll very shortly be 62, and some days I feel it, some days, not so much!

Prager is generally excellent on the issues and right on point with his social observations. However, I disagree with his distinction between the left and liberals. They are one and the same in my opinion..they both have the same goals and are basically different words for the same damn thing.

NEVER thought about age or the big one EVER until I got on the other side of 50.
All of my nephews and nieces but good money i wouldn’t See 50 so they tell me every day now is an added gift :)
But I don’t do ANYTHING that I did even into my early 40s that was going to cut my life short at a quite early age.
So it should be smooth sailing from here.
