I’m looking through my late mothers recipe box for her instructions on how to make Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake.
It sounds weird, but is so moist and has a tang to it!
Anybody remember that recipe?
I have my grandmothers pistachio mayonnaise cake recipe. I am sure they are similar.

I'll answer your question Rusty. I went through trying to adopt here in the USA and never heard anything for 5 years. And while I looked through books of photos and read small paragraphs about each child. Every child I selected I was told the papers weren't complete from one or both biological parents. After 2 years of picking a child or two and was told they weren't available...I stopped going to look. Its a racket. Its why many children DO NOT get a home.
Another story...my nephew and his wife went to Kazakstan for a child. He came home after a week and she stayed for 3 weeks on her own. It took that time for the papers to be processes and getting to know the child. Once his wife met the boy she wouldn't leave the country until she got him. My nephew returned to Kazakstan and they traveled home together. I won't post the information on the baby but through the court it was evident the boy would be permanently with them....not like here in the US....I lived in fear we would some time have our son taken away from us. The US is very bad about taking an adopted child away from their new parents. If we had the money as my nephew..we probably would have looked into adopting a child from another country.
