On Thursday evening, a couple at the I-10 truck stop in Grosse Tete was chasing after their deaf dog ran away from them, Sheriff Brett Stassi said. The dog, according to Stassi, ran under the double barbed wire fencing that fenced off the enclosure of the camel.
The couple chased after the dog into the enclosure, meeting an agitated camel, who is named Caspar. Sheriff Stassi said, somehow, the camel sat on the woman. The woman, possibly out of self-defense, bit the camel’s testicles.

You know, after you’ve been on the face of the Earth a few decades you start to think maybe you’ve seen/heard it all. Then along comes something like this out of the blue and you realize yet again that the world is a far stranger place than you can fathom.

A friend posted on Facebook to pray for her mom. She was attacked by a camel. Thought it was some sort of joke. It isn’t. The woman was injured and has multiple breaks.
Possibly out of self-defense? Well, yes, the alternative theory being that she deliberately went into the camel's pen to bite his nuts. I wouldn't mess with her either way.

Man this story has everything....A Sheriff named “Stassi”(think STASI or German Secret police). A deaf dog.Agitated camel. A woman forced to bite a camel’s balls to get the camel off of her. All at a truckstop….all at a truck stop in Louisiana. A sad side story about the camel being a replacement for a beloved tiger.
Wow...National Lampoon in its hey day couldn’t do this “true story” any better.
