Hold up, diet soda drinkers. Regular consumption of soft drinks — both sugar-sweetened and artificially sweetened — was associated with a greater risk of all causes of death, according to research published this week in JAMA Internal Medicine.
Participants who drank two or more glasses of soft drinks per day had a higher risk of mortality than those who consumed less than one glass per month.

It is drinking out of the glass that kills you. Somebody has too much time on their hands and someone else has some money they need to spend. And they met.

No it’s not the stuff is poison.
I was drinking 1-2, 20 oz Diet Mt. Dew for 30 years. Gave up last year. No other diet changes.
The difference in how I feel is night and day ad at least 3 health issues I was experiencing have gone away.
I am too CHEAP to drink carbonated water.
It is the same reason I don’t smoke. When I was a teen a pack of cigarettes was a quarter, today I think it is between $5-6.
Same reason I don’t hang around bars or have a six pack of beer in the refrigerator, too cheap to buy any.
I am also too cheap to take up motocross, or hang gliding or boating or ... well you get the idea.
If a choice between a $6 Starbuck or a senior discount $1 coffee at McDonalds, it is Mac every time.
Being cheap all these years has saved me a lot of money (and now it seems my health) /s

AMA American Medical Assoc now says that flouridated water is bad and soda is bad. Those are big industries.

Isn’t it true our President drinks soda? Thinly veiled attempt to attack his health?
Anyway, my perfectly healthy 96 year old Dad has been drinking soda forever.
A greater risk of ALL causes of death? Including homicide? Suicide? STDs? Execution? Lightning strike? Shark attack? Radiation poisoning? Drowning? Rapid decompression? Knowing a Clinton?
100% of people who drank water instead of soda died.
Somehow me thinks this will eventually have something to do with straws.

Carbonated water, sugar free, natural flavored, is the NEO SODA.
there are some who would love to do just that.
Maybe the problem is the evil CO2 that creates carbonation, making soda soda. /S
