DOKKEN guitar legend George Lynch has slammed President Donald Trump, calling the billionaire real estate mogul an "idiotic monster" and an "egotistical, self-aggrandizing, complete piece of shit" who "doesn't know anything."
The iconic musician, who has previously called himself a "very progressive person" and "liberal in [his] politics," made his latest comments during an interview with Australia's "Scars And Guitars" podcast.
Speaking about the state of American politics, Lynch said (hear audio below): "I'm honestly just so fatigued, and most of the people that I surround myself with that are political animals are equally fatigued. We're living through the American nightmare, and I hope it doesn't become a fascist nightmare. But for the moment, hopefully we can undo the damage at some point.

First, because heavy metal fans tend to be the same demographic as Trump supporters. Thus if someone in that genre is going full TDS he is going to lose fans, which provides a good insight into the short-sightedness of these people.
Second, because there are many metal fans on FR and this is one way of disseminating the extent to which some people in the genre are losing their minds.
Third, there are lots of people who remember Dokken and George, and will be less inclined to buy their back catalog with this intel.
Fourth, it is topical and relevant but not THAT topical this why it's in General/Chat.
Fifth, because we all have freewill and if someone thinks it's crap they will probably skip the post.

George Lynch does have serious guitar chops. I’ve listened to him for years, but that ends now. I had no idea he was a political moron. He seemed to be a humble, soft-spoken guy. He did go thru a period recently of body-building where he looked like he was taking steroids. Perhaps that caused his mental issues. His nickname was Mr. Scary.
