I was supposed to be arrested 2 weeks ago

Posted on 08/29/2019 1:34:17 PM PDT by Kevin in California

This, according to the call I got from the SSA (since when did they start calling people? LMAO) telling me a legal lawsuit had been filed against me by the Federal Reserve Bank and if I didn’t call back the Federal Marshals by the close of the day, they were going to come and arrest me……LMAO!

There’s no end to the lengths these scammers will go to fraud/scam people. This call was an attempt to get my SS#. Nice try asshole! It’d be nice to meet one of these scammers in a back alley and fold their teeth back.

Anyone receive calls similar to this? This call came from a 985 area code which is Louisiana.

Unfortunately, a buddy of mine in Los Angeles (Topanga Canyon, actually) got caught up in one of these scams. He wound up running away from his home and hiding out in the desert, afraid of a bunch of Nigerians.

One approach is to taunt them mercilessly and tell them to come by for cash...

Or punishment.

Naturally one gives them the address of the local sheriff, or someone else...

Naturally, being Pure of Heart, neither I nor Kenny Bunk ever did such a thing.

You should probably try to stop being a criminal.
The drugs and the human trafficking... cut that out.
Also, if you have a blog you might want to delete it.

Get yourself straight and fly right.

I keep getting the one where it says I owe the IRS and that this matter must be handled immediately.

It’s such a poor, laughable recording that I don’t know how anyone falls for it.

To: Kevin in California; y'all

IMPORTANT y'all record the scammer's telephone number!

Then report it to FBI.

Record the conversation if possible.

I’ve gotten those calls and many more like it from the “IRS”.

“I generally ignore calls that come from phone numbers I don’t know. I’m averaging approx one of such calls about every 2 days”

You are doing better than me. I average maybe 8 calls a day from numbers I do not know. Most are sales calls from one type or another. I have had calls purportedly from Social Security and Microsoft among others.

I tell any scam or sales bs caller that; “I’m an illegal alien”, they suddenly have something better to do.

If they call again, just tell them your real name is Jim Comey and, therefore, you cannot be prosecuted.

Act real smug and they’ll believe you really are him.

Report it to the SSA. I think they have a place on their website where you can report these fraudulent calls and maybe they will go and investigate.

Be thankful. We don’t even have a landline any more but our cable provider will charge us more if we take less of their “services” so we still have a “number”. It is infuriating because whenever you turn the TV on you will get in fairly rapid succession several “phone calls” that show up on the screen. Even though there has been no one answer that line for ten years. And you can’t even press the button that clears that crap because when you do it pops right back up in milliseconds. So you have to wait until the comp;utter that is calling gives up to see the bottom third of the damn screen. I keep begging my wife to stop the “phone service” but she won’t because the cable TV will cost more if we don’t get the phone, too. Even though there hasn’t been an actual phone on the damn line for 15 years.

Yeah, I got one of those calls within the last 2 weeks. Supposedly from Houston. I didn’t bother to answer and let it go to voice mail as I do all calls not in my contacts list.

While listening to this manure, I couldn’t help but just LOL, and proceeded to put it on speakerphone so those around me could have a listen to what was making me laugh so heartily.

I actually wish I would have answered this live so I could have wasted some of his time while enhancing my enjoyment over this obvious nonsense.

There’s no end to the lengths these scammers will go to fraud/scam people.

Most of those scammers are Hindus and American Indians.

How DARE you post that racist mess?

What about the Nigerian scammers?
Do you spew hate at them too?

Nazi.

The only time my phone makes a sound is when my spouse calls. When others call I hear nothing and they hear that my VM has not been set up.

I recently got a cell phone call about repaying my government student loan. Haven’t gone to college in 40 plus years.

I get two or three a day. They usually go like this:

“We’re calling to notify you the IRS...”
“Oh, thank you so much for calling! Listen, I know this is kinda weird but... uh... do you know how to get blood out of carpet?”
“Uh, I’m calling about...”
“I mean, it was an accident, alright? I didn’t mean to do it. And yeah, I know the world’s not gonna miss another hooker that goes missing but I REALLY —”
Click.

If you get a scam call and choose to talk to them, never utter the word “yes” or even yesterday. They will cut that and use it as authorization by splicing it into another recording.

Yeah, I’ve gotten calls like this. And they’re usually speaking with an indian accent. Dot, not feather.
