MIT Researchers Designed this Robotic Worm to Burrow Into Human Brains

Robotics engineers at MIT have built a threadlike robot worm that can be magnetically steered to deftly navigate the extremely narrow and winding arterial pathways of the human brain. One day it could be used to quickly clear blockages and clots that contribute to strokes and aneurysms, while at the same time making the current state of robotic evolution even more unsettling.

All these developments will be weaponized. There will come a point that if someone wants you dead you will be dead just a matter of which AI/robot will do the dirty work.

It’s a tool. Every tool can be misused. I am intrigued because at one point in my career I thought maybe I wanted to be an Interventional Neurosurgeon. Most of the people who trained in Interventional Neuroradiology at the time did not practice because when they found out the malpractice was the same as a neurosurgeon. I knew several of the guys who trained them and they were discussing just training neurosurgeons to do what they did instead of radiologists since neurosurgeons were already paying those malpractice rates. I spent many hours watching, reading, and learning. Fact is it is very difficult to navigate those catheters through the many branches many of which are quite angled. This could be a major breakthrough, using magnets to steer the catheters.
