The college football fight song has existed for more than a century, so it's no wonder that a school's signature sound always rouses the crowd during a game. In honor of the sport's 150th anniversary, here are the best fight songs in the sport's history.

Top 10 College Fight Songs According to this SI Writer:
10: U Washington
9: FSU (Not what one things it is)
8: Naval Academy
7: Clemson
6: USC Fight On
5: Wisconsin
4: Notre Dame
3: UT Rocky Top
2: Boomer Sooner
1: U Michigan THE VICTORS
Don’t forget;
“...THAT’s where the tall corn grows.”
I like Penn State’s fight song “Fight On State”. Very catchy melody.
I spent some time in Columbus for business. I like the OSU version of hail to the victors
My personal favorite in round ball and football is ...
Rooooooook Chaaaaaaulk Jaaaaay Hawk Kkkkkkkkkk Uuuuu
Rooooooook Chaaaaaaulk Jaaaaay Hawk Kkkkkkkkkk Uuuuu
If you are on the other team and you hear the fans chant that, you know that you are truly done.
Booo!!!! Crappy list.
They got the Victors and Anchors Aweigh right. It helps when you have John Phillip Sousa write your fight song for you.
Where’s “Boola-Boola”?...........
They missed the greatest one of all - because it is not PC and no longer allowed. When I attended The Citadel we played - and sang - “Dixie” after every touchdown. After all, the school had seven battle streamers on the school flag from battles won fighting as a unit in the Civil War. It just is not the same now - pity . . . .
Hail! to the victors valiant
Hail! to the conqu'ring heroes
Hail! Hail! to Michigan, The champions of the West!
Have the Jays won a game in the past 25 years?
Rumor has it that Oklahoma is considering dropping Boomer Sooner because the student body has problems remembering the lyrics.
Add Army, Texas ( The eyes of Texas), Kentucky (My Old Kentucky Home), and Iowa ( On iowa).
U. Tennessee’s fight song is actually “Down the Field”. Rocky Top, which they sing and the band plays incessantly, may rank as a weapon against opposing fans and teams.
By the time they play/sing Rocky Top for the 100th time, early in the 2nd quarter, the song has become nauseous for people not inured against songs about hardscrabble towns.
That list is not what I would have chosen, not even close.
Here is my list and I do not even like some of them but like their songs.
1. Georgia Tech
2. Notre Dame
3. Alabama
4. Southern Cal.
5. Texas A&M
6. Tennessee
7. Michigan
8. Texas
9. Auburn
10.Navy
They were 3 and 9 last year, 1 and 8 in conference games (TCU is going to be a long time living THAT one down).
Neither of which were composed by John Phillip Sousa.
Being a Bama Alum, I hate to say that “Yea Alabama” does not belong in the top 10, especially when they play it as fast as they have in recent years, and Auburn’s “War Eagle” does belong there, based strictly on the melody and beat of the two songs.
But it’s fine with me if all those other school’s have a better fight song, though I’m not really that familiar with several of those chosen.
The Texas Aggie War Hymn
