Does it look like a "painting" to you? Where's the "frame"? On a completely black wall? Really?
To me it looks like a smartphone image photoshopped into an open doorway.
So my next question is: Is this an actual photo of BJC? Or is this something else altogether?

It's a poster sized photograph. Maybe a giclee. Probably hanging behind glass.
There has to be a negative someplace because digital cameras were not popular back then.
