I believe people like these killers can be easily hypnotized and can be turned into Manchurian candidates. The program about the CIA that was on last night claimed that people cannot be hypnotized to kill someone but I believe that they have to claim that so as to not encourage some sick mind from trying it.
Pay attention. I did not blame it on video games. I take it you are a video game player on a hair trigger. I said that the shoot from the hip accuracy shown in some of these attacks, especially the ones by the young teens back in the 80s/90s was probably due to the shooter games then very popular. I am not sorry I stepped on your oh-so-sensitive toes.
I watched my boy acquire the P and S skills from just such a game. When I took him shooting at age 8 he nailed it every time he just pointed and shot. He took a lot of practice before he could properly aim the gun. You video gamers are so damn sensitive. It is as if you got caught with your hand in the cookie jar and are insisting that it was baseball cards in there. You know you are wasting your time and that makes you hair trigger sensitive.

Back then, the imprompto citizen militia (many of them Korean and WW II vets) took their long rifles from their pickup trucks and engaged the shooter, keeping him pinned down until two brave Austin cops, accompanied by an armed civillian veteran, got to the top of the tower and killed Whitman.
Look at a documentary and observe the number of builllets impacting the tower that were largely fired by the civillians. Whitman did most of his killing before being engaged and supressed by civillian shooters.
SWAT was not a meaningful concept back then.

I have to disagree; the dissolution of the family is common factor; I believe this to be fact, not just an opinion.
