'Prank' sent teacher to hospital fighting for her life after allergic reaction
ABC 6 Columbus ^ | July 29, 2019 | Lisa Rantala

What may have been considered a prank by a group of middle-schoolers could have cost an art teacher her life. All of the students involved are just 12 and 13 years old, but school security said they were well aware their teacher had a serious allergy when it was used against her last school year.

"That could be attempted murder," a Columbus City Schools (CCS) security officer is heard telling Columbus Police officers in a body camera video. The call about the attack came from Starling K-8 school last November. On the video, the security officer is seen escorting police to the art teacher's door where signs stating "Banana Free Zone" are posted. Another sign instructs students to wash their hands if they've eaten a banana that day.

Well, yes. But the best part is that within 20 years shits like this will be running the Country. In fact, they have already begun. Look at what the voters sent to Congress in 2018.

In that case, it sounds like maybe you need a new career.

Why would anyone be curios about the demographics at the school?

They could easily do it to another student, as well.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL.

Cross-contamination” in the kitchen can be just as lethal as eating the offending food.

That is why we do not eat at restaurants very much anymore. Too many bad experiences have convinced us that in general it is just too risky for my wife. There is also the issue of ingredients such as worcestershire sauce and others which most people do not realize are partially made from fish products.

My thoughts exactly.

She is a very fragile human being. I’m sorry for her, but she should be on disability and should stay home.

Being that sensitive, perhaps you shouldn’t take a job in a school or any place with a cafeteria.

Beat me to it.

Yes, the evil little monsters should be severely punished. Wiping banana on the doorknob is bad enough but then they threw bananas at her. That deserved a day in juvie court full expulsion from school. Of course, schools can't punish a certain extra special group.

Our local private school panders to parents and their $$$$. Oooh, little Johnny is sooo smart we gave him straight A’s so where’s next year’s tuition check? When little Johnny decides to attend the local public school, he quickly finds out how far behind he is.

That’s the best decision.

I work in a restaurant and if someone has a deadly allergy, it’s extremely difficult to avoid cross contamination. Chefs have an intense job-super fast pace and perfection are requirements that make it a pretty stressful occupation. Adding the responsibility for someone’s life due to the possibility of an allergic reaction due to cross contamination is, IMO, asking a bit too much. I say this as a mother who carries epipens for my son’s nut allergy.

Yes. One more year and I can retire.

So glad someone else said it first. This is not the right job for her.

Sure, these kids will be punished, but what about the next kids? She’ll always be vulnerable.

I’m surprised... you’d think it would get a bad reputation at the nearby colleges when they get “private school students” who, year after year, need remedial classes before they can begin a degree-track curriculum.

There’s many of the rank and file of the teachers’ union that refuse to comprehend but...

The dangerous schools are a product of the national teachers’ union’s efforts, the politicians that union supports and its policies.

The teachers, many of them fully supportive of the grotesque degeneracies supported by the union, feed the monster that is endangering themselves.

I homeschool. It’s a real challenge to teach them all you think they need to know to launch. These teachers need our full support. Like priests....praise for good, defrock for bad, support in human failings. Patents ought be of deep gratitude to teachers taking on their own kids education in large place of them. Require excellence...give what you require to the kid before the school day, get involved in teaching and discipline outside class.

Some kids do very bad. Some are easily great....in the same family. Check parental pride dead in its tracks...and parental guilt after doing your best with a rebellious mind.

In TX, the top 10% of each graduating class gets an automatic acceptance in state universities. All thanks to uber liberal Univ of Texas Austin for discriminating against white students. Of course, UT whined and got their automatic acceptance dropped to 8% because they threatened to shut down Longhorn football. OH, THE HORRORS!!! Yeah, like that was ever gonna happen.

“So... it’s all the same teachers.”

The teacher’s I’ve met who have left public skweel to go to private school state the same reasons... Massive paper work and a curriculum hell bent on indoctrination.

May be the same teachers but seems to be a different mindset. They also take a major benefit cut to go private.
