here we go......... An Instagram account bearing the suspect's name, created four days ago, posted two messages shortly before the attacks, including a reference to a white supremacist text.
Read Might is Right by Ragnar Redbeard," the caption said. "Why overcrowd towns and pave more open space to make room for hordes of mestizos and Silicon Valley white tw**s?"
A "mestizo" is a person of mixed descent, usually white and Hispanic, or white and American Indian. "Might is Right" is a book published in the late 1800s which has been described as a white supremacist text that promotes anarchy, vilifies Christianity and calls Jesus the "true Prince of Evil." The natural order, according to the book, is a world at war in which the strong must vanquish the weak, and white men must rule https://www.cnn.com/2019/07/29/us/gilroy-california-food-festival-shooting-monday/index.html

As usual a good guy with a gun stopped a bad guy with a gun.
They were lucky this time; the good guys with guns were nearby. If it was a constitutional carry state there would have been many more good guys with guns to stop this asshat; maybe before one or more of those kids were killed.

It’s a terrible thing to have happen at an event like that or anywhere else.

So how does a teenager get raised so rotten? This is the real question but the politicians wont even try to discuss it

a AK-47-style assault rifle.......
It is interesting how words have meaning. California has defined assault rifle to a semi-automatic rifle with certain cosmetic features. Washington State has defined an assault rifle to be any rifle that is semi-automatic.
I wonder truly what kind of rifle it was. Probably a semi-automatic rifle that has a California-legal 10 round magazine and that has certain cosmetic features that makes it look somewhat like a MAK-47 or similar former soviet block rifle.

"Another photograph posted on Sunday showed a sign warning of a high danger of forest fires. Its caption urged people to read Might is Right, a racist and sexist treatise written by the pseudonymous author Ragnar Redbeard in the late 19th century. Why overcrowd towns and pave more open space to make room for hordes of mestizos and Silicon Valley white twats? the caption continued."
Of course the article does not mention it, but the author of "Might is Right" was a Nietzschean Social-Darwinist who hated Christianity as a "religion of the weak." He also hated Judaism.
Like other young shooters, this one was an angry young man with a grudge against the world, and grabbed onto bits of extremist ideas wherever he could find them. He had no coherent worldview, just an amalgamation of rage and resentment.

So, can anyone explain how this rifle was “legally” purchased? Wasn’t the shooter a Californian? I thought to buy a gun out of state it had to be shipped to an in-state FFL for a transfer? Is a SKS California legal?
At any rate, great job by the first responders! DRT!
