I saw several comments, yesterday, about Nunes not being tough on Mueller.

He’s not sounding too positive about those criminal referrals, or enthusiastic about US ATTY of CT, or DOJ picking them up.

I hope I’m misreading him, on that. He’s been one of the ones sounding toughest and out there, nightly, explaining what has happened and what needs to happen.

I’m going with a combination. The first few minutes of the hearing, he was in serious need of a bowl of banana pudding. But he suddenly perked up - somewhat... at least to the level of creamed corn. Then he began answering the dem’s questions per script of “correct” if that’s considered answering. But had enough sense to play at not answering R’s questions and running out the clock asking for questions to be repeated and telling them to refer to the report.

As the day went on, the feeble and confused mask would slip so much of the performance was an act. A very quick search turned up a video of him 3 years ago where he was just as sharp and steady of voice as always. It’s posted somewhere during the morning of the live thread. Someone can look for a more recent video to see if or when he started to go downhill.

Either he flat out doesn’t care about his reputation or he was ticked at having to be there. All in all, it was very weird. So weird. It might be that he knows something VERY BAD and is doing everything he can to save his butt or his family was threatened. Arkancide?
