Citing declining enrollment and rising costs, Green Mountain officials in January said this would be the last year in operation. The school closed in May after its final semester. Sounds to me like a “school” that the rich send their idiot children to, to give them a sham education. Reminds me of another such place among the mansions in Rhode Island, Salve Regina University.
I'd love to take the project on, to be truthful. New faculty, new administrative staff, new student body, new curricula. No Studies programs, intercollegiate athletics, or "Remedial" anything. The words "Social", "Intersectional", "Hate Speech", and "Sustainable" banned from campus.

Green Mountain College (GMC) has received a letter of congratulations from Senator Bernie Sanders on being recognized as the top Baccalaureate performer by the Association for Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) with a score of 81.82. STARS, the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System, measures and encourages sustainability in higher education.
“I was delighted to hear that Green Mountain College received the highest score of any institution ever. Your commitment to sustainability will equip the coming generation with knowledge that is vital to meeting the mounting global challenges we are facing as a nation,” stated Senator Sanders.
High score in sustainability but couldn’t sustain itself!
The only thing dumber then Bernie Sanders are the Vermont voters that have enabled him all these years!
Not sure this would be a solution nowadays but it couldn’t do worse - Repeal the 17th Amendment!

The total elimination of an academic department is another way. A good number of colleges have eliminated classical language majors and departments and geography majors and departments.
Actually, those professors will have the easiest time finding another position.
Pity the professor of classical languages or philosophy who studies the real canon and not the leftist intellectual doggerel of today.
