I have a prayer request.
My granddaughter, artistically talented, super smart, homeschooled, is having vision issues in one eye. Her vision in that one eye has gotten progressively worse over the last year and a half or so, and last week had a scan and there are dark areas in the scan around her optic nerve. The doc said that he has never seen this before in someone as young as she is (15) and without an autoimmune disease or diabetes. Not diabetic. Ruled out an infectious disease for the time being. She will see a nuerologic opthamologist next week for more scans. Please pray for her. Thank you.
I will check back later - have a lot of phone calls to make on another matter and an appointment this afternoon. Thanks in advance for praying.

For me, such a problem and a referral to a neurologist meant a pituitary tumor that grew large enough to compress and damage the optic nerve. It was removed via surgery and proved to be benign.
Today my granddaughter meets with an ophthalmologist whose specialty is neurology issues with eyes, and then back with the referring doc who is also in that Bham office. Please continue to pray. I do appreciate all of your prayers even though I may not get to respond. ((hugs)

From my daughter (her mom) “We went ahead and saw both doctors this morning. They did a LOT of tests and scans. The inflammation has gone down! Praise the Lord! They’re ordering more bloodwork to test for other diseases and an MRI to test for Multiple Sclerosis. He said it was unlikely she had MS but they’re going to check anyway. Thanks for the prayers.”
“Also doing these labs...I know they’re checking for Lymes disease but not sure what the rest mean. I haven’t had time to look them up. “. MRI at 3:30 THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE PRAYERS!!
The MRI was not done because my granddaughter has braces. Don’t know what the followup will be. But the good news is that the inflammation is going down.
