FEC chair responds to Trump saying he’d accept foreign intel on opponent: “It is illegal”

Federal Election Commission (FEC) Chairwoman Ellen Weintraub said Thursday it is illegal to accept foreign assistance during elections after President Trump publicly suggested he would accept foreign intelligence on opponents.
“I would not have thought that I needed to say this,” Weintraub tweeted Thursday with her statement.
“Let me make something 100 percent clear to the American public and anyone running for public office: It is illegal for any person to solicit, accept, or receive anything of value from a foreign national in connection with a U.S. election,” Weintraub said.

Weintraub is another hack who does not really know the law.
Information does not convey value, or money.
What Trump said is just common sense, you can listen, and then evaluate.
The Dems fell right into Trump’s trap.
Every is talking about about Hillary PAYING for foreign information in an election campaign.
Poor Pelosi already is hitting the bottle this morning.

Still dark here, hubby will put up flags as soon as it’s light.
Did you solve your flag pole problem?
We have fans blowing in the cool air during the night, hope to get house temp down to low 60’s, then we shut the windows and turn on the ceiling fans, house stays nice till the late afternoon.
Usually by now we are putting air conditioning unit in front room window but it has been a gloriously cool Spring so haven’t needed it yet.
Need to make a Diet Coke run to the convenience store here shortly, drank all of lysie’s.
