Let's talk about UFOs.
To be clear, your friend and humble narrator does not wear a tinfoil hat, nor does this reporter believe the U.S. government is competent enough to keep proof of alien life secret from the American public.

Yet a number of credible media outlets have reported that Navy pilots are increasingly reporting sightings of unidentified aircraft, and the service is taking them seriously for a change. Politico's Bryan Bender reported in April that the Navy was working on new guidelines for reporting such aircraft in the wake of increased sightings in military ranges and airspace.

[C]ould these strange aircraft actually be long-range Russian or Chinese unmanned surveillance aircraft?
Probably not, according to the Air Force.
"While there is a proliferation of UAV [unmanned aerial vehicle] technology across the globe, we are not concerned that China or Russia have developed a long-range capability about which we are not aware," said Air Force spokesman Maj. Bryan Lewis.
Any drone that could fly from Russia or China to the United States' East Coast would have to be at least as large as an MQ-9 Reaper and the data link used to fly the aircraft would be detectable, said retired Air Force Maj. Gen. James Poss, who served as the service's former assistant deputy chief of staff for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance.

And the goblins’ll get YOU; ‘ef you don’t - watch - out!
lol I suppose it wouldn’t help if I claimed alien abduction??? jk. :)
But yeah, it’s been a while. Still working on my book (a sci fi romance). I have this ‘allowance’ of ‘me’ time, and I used to spend a ton of it here on FR. But after the 2016 primaries, getting handcuffed by JR & Co for not aligning with the group-think, and getting plum worn out from some of the endless cycles of theological debate, I just got completely burned out on FR. Even now, that hasn’t really changed. Sometimes I just have to take a break from my other stuff and snoop in here to see what’s what, and I saw this ping and decided to dip one little toe back in the water.
But as my allowance of free time is pretty small, I do have to spend it wisely. So until the book is done and published, I’ll probably just keep my lurker status for now. But definitely good chatting with all y’all. :D
Peace
Consider Screwtape Letters, by CS Lewis. The main goal of a demon would not be to scare children like some monster under the bed. The main goal would be to draw intelligent persons by subtle deception down a path where the ‘monster’ appears as a friend and helper, an angel of light, until it is too late to escape. ‘Cool vehicles that inspire you,’ would fulfill that purpose admirably. Unless of course they were really just cool vehicles. So much we don’t know.
I think the devil is about a hundred years too late, if he thinks he’s going to subtly deceive us with ‘UFOs’.
(I think some of them may be ‘cool vehicles’ that we or someone else on Earth has developed. But the long history of sightings over centuries probably represents several different phenomena.)
Proof no, but the Bible states in the latter days that various signs and wonders in and from the heavens....All the while its Satan working in overtime along with his mentions...
Why are WE 'preserving' web stuff via the WayBack Machine?
and...
Those who do not LEARN from history...
My two remaining, four-footed grounds keepers worry about the Chupa Chabre!
Back when the ‘Chupacabra’ was in the news, I knew a man from Bolivia who was an engineer. He told me that areas in SA are riddled with caves, and ANYTHING could be living in there.
(By the way - don’t ever drink with Bolivians. They expect you to drink them under the table, and if you don’t, it’s an insult. They keep extra beds and mattresses to put you to sleep, after you’ve engaged in one of their “parties” :-)
The exchange was a bit of a 'slide' from UFO's, but justa-hairyape was posing a philosophical problem about whether Jesus was born with full knowledge of all things or did he have to learn it all. IMO that is what the Essenes at Qumran had been preparing for for nearly 200 years: to instruct a Messiah figure. . . . It is a controversial area.
You are right - so many today are incapable of learning from history. As Santiana stated, they are doomed to repeat it.
I can see WHY!!
IMO that is what the Essenes at Qumran had been preparing for for nearly 200 years: to instruct a Messiah figure.
Job 21:22 Can anyone teach knowledge to God, since He judges those on high? Romans 11:34 "Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been His counselor?"
Well, you are missed, as a much a gentlemen in obeying Jude 1:3. . A Christian "sci fi romance?" That is quite a mix. Not much to recommend in Christian "sci fi" itself, though I thought "Time Changers" (https://tubitv.com/movies/445085/time_changer) was very well done.

If they were legit scientist, all of them would say somewhere between 0 and 100. Some closer to 100, some not. None would say 0, and none would say 100. ;)
Is it possible? Yes. Is it probable? No one on this earth knows for certain. There is plenty in this vast universe that we know very little to nothing about. But to say it is indeed 100% impossible is to know 100% of everything within and about the universe.
We quizzed the ole man
His answer made it not scary to us again
He said I aint saying there are aliens and I aint sayin there are aint but if there are, the got the same God you do"
A very wise ole man you had there, on many levels!
