The day is coming when a video will be able to be produced that will be indistinguishable from the real thing. The movie industry attempted the first major foray into this realm with the film Beowulf. This was done in the style of Polar Express. They are still lacking the finesse of reality but Star Wars: Rogue One gave it a fairly good shot.

Just find out which brain receptors to plug the jacks into, turn it on and sink into sweet, but interesting, oblivion.

In Avengers Endgame, the animation process used to convert Thor into an obese alcoholic was so well done it was scary. The way they merged Hulk with Ruffalo as well.

“Maybe it will force people to use logic, reason, and facts to draw conclusions...”
You can’t force people to use things they don’t possess.

The day is coming when a video will be able to be produced that will be indistinguishable from the real thing. That happened decades ago. At least, you were told by "experts" that it was NOT forged.
It is so easy to lie the public. Just ask J Edgar Hoover or James Comey. At least 1/2 the public will believe anything they are told.

As for Ruffalo, he IS a Green monster.

A couple of years ago I saw a similar clip where they did the same thing to Lincoln. It had him walking down stairs. Very creepy in a way, since it sort of brought him to life. It would be interesting to see this done with a painting of Washington.

The day is coming when a video will be able to be produced that will be indistinguishable from the real thing. This will not be a good thing, because nothing will be trusted.
Scott Adams makes the point that the conceit that "photos dont lie is and always was balderdash. All photos show what the photographer is seeing, which is hard to separate from what the photographer wants to see. So having nothing being implicitly trusted could actually be an advance.

I got to see the Mona Lisa up close too. Amazing.
As a lawyer, I really wanted to see the Code of Hammurabi, but it always seemed to be in restoration. I think it was my third visit before I saw it.
There is incredible history on display in the Louvre and British Museum.
