Its all downhill from 27, new research reveals.
At least if youre a millennial, chronic conditions and diseases start to rear their heads in your late-20s, and from there things continue to deteriorate, according to a new Blue Cross/Blue Shield report.
Millennials as a generation are in overall poorer health than their predecessors, Gen X-ers, with higher rates of depression, hyperactivity, substance misuse, type 2 diabetes and Crohns disease, among other chronic conditions.
The report authors warn that the healthcare community needs to be aware that millennials are facing growing and perhaps unprecedented health concerns that could cost them years of life and cost the US economy money and productivity. [ ]
When the researchers narrowed their focus to older millennials, ages 34-36, they found higher rates of nearly all of the top 10 most common conditions than were seen in generation X at the same ages despite the fact that 83 percent of millennials think they are in good or excellent health.

Marx used to lie about the practical absence of the family among whom he perceived to be the working class. Too bad he cant be around today to see what really happens when you abolish the family.
If you sit all day and never exercise what do you expect..
27 is the new 50......................
... and here I was hoping that 80 or 90 would eventually become the new 50.
Sick bodies and sick souls.
One of the consequences of no longer having a draft.
I think it’s because we grew up in sterile urban environment compared with our parents and grandparents who grew up on farms.
I got married at 27 and yeah,
it was pretty much downhill after that.
Good thing we’re not millenials..................
I’ve made it past 50 and (knock on wood) have not experienced any of that.
Wha???
You mean that our publik skoolz didn’t teach them about good health practice between indoctrination on social “just us” and other bull-Obama sewer level stuff?
I find it hard to believe that sitting at your momma’s home, jacking off and playing video games all day while eating chips and cookies could be unhealthy. Whats’s next, are Health Experts going to demand we Move Out too and actually get jobs?
Years of crappy eating habits, staring at computer screens, being immersed in video games, and not having coping skills will do that.
Id get down to the gates of Hell and Satan would JUMP OUT....RRROOAAAAARRRRRR!!!!!! Ah #@$#...you were married huh? Well, I guess theres nothing much new for you here. Well, Ill give you the nickel tour anyway....see that? Thats where we torment the soul.......OOOOOOOH! Say, you didnt happen to see any single guys coming down the tunnel did you? I can scare the $#@# out of them. Oh &*(! ....you were married twice? Want a job? That qualifies you for the job placement program here in Hell...

Environmental toxins and total EMF immersion from birth have noting to do with it I’m sure.
Nothing Medicare For All won’t fix.
If only these 27 year olds had had the benefit of Mooch’s school lunches 20 years ago!
Good thing I’m gen x. I feel fi
They grew up eating junk food, processed foods, fast food. My sons are 40 and 42 and have no chronic health issues, but they grew up on home cooked mostly from scratch foods, and I watched their sugar intake at home. Their children are a whole different situation, they range from 14 to 3 and neither wives cook. So they eat junk food, processed foods, and fast food. I pray for them, but no one listens to me about food.
Even the suburbs 50 years ago. 8:00 AM...”Mom, I’m going out to play.”
“OK, Bob. Be sure you get home when it gets dark.”
