Plenty of ways to put pressure on Iran that don’t involve foreign-led regime change. Sanctions, freezing funds, stop sending them pallets of cash, etc. Trump is smart in how he is dealing with them. He knows how to work the mullahs

If a foreign nation deposed the regime in Iran by force the ensuing civil war, regional destabilization, and refugee crisis would make Iraq, Libya, and Syria look like walks in the park

What was Operation Ajax?

Fear that nationalization of oil companies would spread to US-owned companies in Saudi Arabia and elsewhere in the region was the main reason for CIA involvement in the Iranian coup in 1953

A war with Iran would incur three times the casualties of the Iraq war and ten times the cost. and almost certainly spill out into the surrounding region

After the CIA-led 1953 coup, the vast majority of Iranians would never support a foreign regime change now. If there’s a change to be had, they want it to be done with their own hands as a domestic process

Thread: Here’s why Comey, and Brennan are turning on each other. Brennan used Capitol Hill briefings, and media leaks, to push Comey’s FBI into using their law enforcement powers to get FISA warrants on the Trump team. The cabal at the top of the FBI fell for it.

BUT, the cabal wasn’t sure where the leaks, or the Hill information was originating from (see McCabe and Page’s sworn testimony). Comey’s people didn’t do their homework verifying the information & assumed that it corroborated what they were getting from Steele starting in July.

It WAS NOT corroborating information, it was the SAME INFORMATION from Steele and his media network and connections. Making matters worse, Comey knew very early in 2017 that both Steele, and his “sources,” were illegitimate. Yet, Comey moved forward with 2 more FISA renewals.

Brennan is now going to turn on Comey & the FBI by claiming “I’m just an intell guy, it’s the FBI’s job to investigate!” Comey is going to turn on Brennan by saying “CIA fed us this garbage info & didn’t tell us it was Steele’s!”
