Thread: Here’s why Comey, and Brennan are turning on each other. Brennan used Capitol Hill briefings, and media leaks, to push Comey’s FBI into using their law enforcement powers to get FISA warrants on the Trump team. The cabal at the top of the FBI fell for it.
BUT, the cabal wasn’t sure where the leaks, or the Hill information was originating from (see McCabe and Page’s sworn testimony). Comey’s people didn’t do their homework verifying the information & assumed that it corroborated what they were getting from Steele starting in July.
It WAS NOT corroborating information, it was the SAME INFORMATION from Steele and his media network and connections. Making matters worse, Comey knew very early in 2017 that both Steele, and his “sources,” were illegitimate. Yet, Comey moved forward with 2 more FISA renewals.
Brennan is now going to turn on Comey & the FBI by claiming “I’m just an intell guy, it’s the FBI’s job to investigate!” Comey is going to turn on Brennan by saying “CIA fed us this garbage info & didn’t tell us it was Steele’s!”
