NO SEX But Plenty of Drugs & Rock And Roll.

Posted on 05/05/2019 8:07:24 AM PDT by DIRTYSECRET

Just heard Alice Cooper's Schools Out song. Reminded me of the 60's when there was so much 'free love'. Looking back I don't believe it. Just the media's attempt that it was all-out there for the taking and you were missing out if you weren't getting it. Drugs and music were the SUBSTITUTES for sex. Women were out there but not as available as the media would have you believe. Being easily led again.

what most people think of as the Sixties, didn’t actually happen until the seventies.

You are correct. Drugs have blurred people's memory.

It started with the pill in my view but Freepers love to blame hippies

Of all the Big Lies the marxists have foisted, "The Pill" (and that birth control in general is an effective means to limit family size without destroying everything around it) is possibly the biggest.

Ever since the introduction of "The Pill," not only has the rate of illegitimacy soared, but also the rate of abortion, unwed parents and child abuse. Oh, these statistics take some temporary dips, but it's way up there compared to pre-Pill days.

Clearly, young people were sold a bill of goods as a way to debauch women and make them worthless and guilty and no longer the tradiitional guardians of sexual morality and uplifters of natural horny males.

It is the Commie playbook's method, used earlier against the Eastern European nations to conquer them, to destabilize family, religion and tradition -- right out of the Commie goals read into the Congressional Record in 1963.

Certainly the end of more strong marriages and two parent households

Women really need to reel it in at least to early 90s mores

We lived in the same city in California twice when I was really little, we were friends with a family, at the time we left their son was about 14-15 years old, short hair, as straight-laced as can be.

We returned to California a few years later, the son had gone “Full Hippy”, it was quite a shocking transformation.

That’s an astute observation

I recall being with my mom in early summer on I 40 coming from Memphis where I took her to view antiques and heading back to Murfreesboro for her and Music City for me....I lived in town...in an old hunting cabin that had been part of Woodlawn plantation long ago....in the woods on stilts surrounded by Belle Meade basically.....two of my spawn were conceived either there or damn close to there lol

Anyhow we stop at an exit about an hour east of Congo on the Mississippi and we see this little toddler holding a sign board begging for money for food

My mom about shat right then...oh my god that poor baby....till the saw the Rainbow Nation crowd behind the child

Dreadlocks on whites and all the deadhead in the parking lot at the Meadowlands attire....dirty of course

Then it dawned on me...Bonnaroo

And they were....caravan to Manchester TN panhandling with the cherub

Mother offered to buy them all food at the Wendy’s attached...

She bought a good bit

We get a lot of that around here...it ain’t Santa Cruz but they still come

We got Gaskins Farm too don’t forget .....a place I know somewhat

Women really need to reel it in at least to early 90s mores

And men? No need to reel it in?

The problem is, with all this debauchery, STDs have mutated and become much more virulent than they were back in the post-Puritan, pre-Pill days. So the old ways of married women, to keep the marriage together, looking the other way if their husband strayed occasionally, have now become a situation of Russian Roulette.

Both sexes must return to Biblical morality if they want to have stable families with neither of the parents dying of AIDs or crawling with syphilis or herpes (which is transmitted to the infant through the birth canal). Cheating and jealously also cause a significant number of injuries and murders every year.

And serial monogamy is horrible for kids. I think you and I may have posted before about "mommy's boyfriend" being the most dangerous person in a child's life, putting minors at risk for sex abuse and murder.

"Harry Nilson always looked uncomfortable in his own skin."

Wrote some great songs, though.

Indeed.

But personally he was a mess.

I wrote a parody of his song “Without You”, and the lyrics go:

Oh I cannot catch my breath now,
And I’m sure it will be death now,
But I guess that’s the way the story goes....
I always gasp and cough until my apoxia grows,
Oh yes it grows....

I can’t breath,
If breathing is without air,
I can’t breath,
I can’t breath without air,
I CAN’T BREATH,
IF BREATHING IS WITHOUT AIR,
I CAN’T BREATH
I CAN’T BREATH WITHOUT AIR

The irony is that “Without You” was written by the two members of Badfinger that wound up killing themselves.

“That’s an astute observation”

It was an easy one because I was driving around up there that summer. Had picked up some hitchhikers down in Pennsylvania who were headed to Woodstock, so I remember what kind of people were out on the road. One of our hitchers was an older Deadhead kinda dude who never said a word. Weird. Zero entertainment value out of him.

This was the summer after high school, some friends and I were just driving around the US in my VW bus. Mooching off of friends and family or just sleeping in the bus. You can do that at 18.

Stopped in Phoenix. El Paso. Houston. We were in Houston the night before the Moon landing. Stopped to sleep on some nice residential street and the cops chased us away. Probably had picked some NASA honcho’s house to park in front of, is my guess.

Watched the Moon Landing on a gas station tv out in the boondocks of Cajun country. Celebrated turning 18 in New Orleans.

At some point we picked up a kid who was hitchhiking to his uncle’s place in Florida. When we dropped him off he invited us to go alligator hunting, so we clambered out on the ricketiest dock ever built and went zooming around in a flat bottomed skiff hunting ‘gators. The gators eluded us.

Anyway after spending some time in Flor-da we wandered up the east coast eventuating our presence in New York state.

You’ve mentioned the fierce Hurricane Camille hitting the Gulf Coast that August. I guess that must have been about the time that we were in New York. Good timing, I wouldn’t have wanted to be on the road down there when that thing hit.

Men are not really any different than they have been forever maybe slightly more promiscuous than post war two the only real observation I see about young white men is they are far less masculine now

if you’d like to discuss the vagaries of the behavior of black males and sex and reproduction that’s an entirely different subject

Men baring fidelity generally are available if presented with an opportunity from a fetching partner

No question whatsoever historically in any culture baring conquest and spoils sexual frequency and availability is determined by the female

Same with mammalian

With beasts it’s set by ovulation cycles

With humans by desire or obligation and ovulation cycles

The problem women think they are men now

There is a reason women had to be more discreet and selective

A damn good reason

Men are not women’s equal in this

A mans sex drive is just a different animal

He chooses to restrict it for the sake of family and his mate

Or he should

Baring that it’s a tougher call

Now with women adopting that for whatever reason it’s thrown it out of balance

Placing sexual responsibility in a society equally on men as women however well intended defies a lot of empirical examination of the past

Christianity attempts this and it’s a noble goal but I’ve yet to see it successful

I prefer the women to have that power

And then came Welfare, which was the attack on the Black Family.

Quite so. And abortion clinics built in black neighborhoods, by design of the founder, Margaret Sanger, Hllary's heroine.

I would say that's a major, appalling difference. It's coming from many factors, but it is a major change, and does not bode well for the future of Western civ.

Re-reading your post, did you in several places mean "barring" (eliminating) or "baring" (uncovering)?

“Harry Nilson always looked uncomfortable in his own skin.”

Harry was married to the same woman for almost his entire adult life. His last words were “I love you” when he died.

In my NW Chicago Catholic neighborhood virtually every Polish, Italian and Irish girl I knew age 16 to 26 was doing it.

"Come out Virginia, don't let me wait/You Catholic girls start much too late..."

“And my nephews tell me now all it takes is buy em a drink or a burger and you’re in”

From what I’ve heard from the younger generation the “dating” apps are just an online catalog to browse looking for someone to hook up with.

The initial meeting is just to make sure your picture matches your face.

““The 60’s” as people seem to think of that time really didn’t begin until the summer of 66 and seemed to continue until sometime around 1976.”

After ‘76 drugs went from main street retail to walmart type wholesale distribution. By the early 80’s it was Amazon Prime.
