TV Guide's picks for the very best shows from five decades of television history.

That explains it. Thanks! I saw the 2017 date on the post and thought it was from then.
I suddenly realize how many shows I missed back in the olden days. I remember I Love Lucy, Twilight Zone and a couple of others. but most I never even cared to watch. I would rather read a book.
Maybe it is because so many of the places I lived in as a teen were so remote we only got one TV channel.
Binge watching the old TRILLER series right now.
IIRC, the parking garage episode was probably included because it was cited by the cast members as the one that made the show about "nothing" and gave them the courage to do entire episodes about waiting in line at a restaurant, etc.
BTW, Seinfeld wasn't really about "nothing." It was about where comedians get their material. Bonus note: at the end, the car really didn't start. That wasn't planned.
I concur with your WKRP choice but will add that the Night Court episode with Dan Fielding and the fire hose deserves mention. A very gutterish subject but John Larroquette was hillarious.
Good list overall, but not a single episode of Married With Children made the list, while pablum like The Partridge Family and Gilligans Island did?
WKRP. The thanksgiving turkey drop
My favorite recurring character was the racetrack tout.
No, wait. Maybe it was that salesman guy.
The Chuckles episode is, frankly, vastly overrated. MTM’s performance was first-rate but could have been done inside a five-minute sketch.
The brilliance of that episode was that the climax was never seen on-screen - only the setup, the Hindenburg-style eyewitness account and the reactions.
I find it very interesting that the cop family's last name is "Reagan".
Lucy....The Chocolate assembly line episode.
Turkeys Away is OK, but my vote would go to An Explosive Affair, the one where terrorists plant a bomb at the transmitter site, featuring Johnny Fever at his paranoid finest.

The phone police...if he only knew
Lucy and William Holden, Dick Van Dyke and Voice of the Snail and Taxi - Jims driving test.
I remember a guy retelling that episode in my (then) landlady’s kitchen. We all laughed until we cried. That was an episode for the ages, akin to “Taxi” and the driving test.
Wrong X Files episode, greatest is
30 Nov. 1997
The Post-Modern Prometheus
S 05 Ep 05
Was it Jack Benny or Bob Hope who had the walk on gardener named Rocky Roccoco? or some other show?
Sounds like someone might have a little crush on Sarah Michelle Gellar. But I'm not being critical here, just kidding around. Because to this day I've got I crush on her.
Odd, but Ms. Gellar won't respond to any of the long, rambling letters I've written to her. But I have heard from her lawyer (just kidding again).
+1.
“A little song, a little dance, a little seltzer down your pants.” - Chuckles the Clown, words to live by
“It’s so tasty too - Mmmmm - just like candy. So why don’t you join the thousands of happy pappy people and buy a great big bottle of vita-meata-vegimen today.” - Lucy
Both were ingrained in my brain from an early age.
