Volkswagen has crunched the numbers to show electric cars produce lower CO2 emissions than petrol- or diesel-engined models, for the entire lifespan of the vehicle.
While it may be clear that an electric car produces no direct CO2 emissions when driving, Volkswagen has demonstrated the wider savings through use of a certified life cycle assessment process.
The company has taken the all-electric e-Golf, and the traditional diesel-engined Golf TDI, to demonstrate just how substantial the differences can be over the whole life of a car.

“Would hot women want to ride in your faggot electric car or my Viper? ;)”
LOL! Love to see your ‘hot women’ look at you when the electric car blows your doors off .... while doing it in luxurious comfort ...
What about the fuel used to generate the electric power and the transmission losses?
“Zero to sixty ONCE like that, then a Corolla could give it a run until it cools off or is recharged.”
Did you just make that up?
You anti-electric vehicle zealots are such a hoot, endlessly putting out fake news..
Common knowledge that 0-60 stunt is a one trick pony.
Not anti-golf karts, just refuse to buy the hype and ignorance of their limitations.
Unlike you, I don’t resort to making up fake news to support my position.

Exactly! +1.
Walking would be more sure even though it may take a minute or two longer.
Until the next stop light of course. Then the golf kart driver will get distracted by something..........
Money can be thought of as highly accurate data about energy use, both direct and indirect. The only study needed is the total cost of ownership. If electric cars really use less total energy they will be cheaper and customers will flock to them without any deficit spending market distortions.

Suffering boredom waiting for you to catch up!
Ah sure whatever blows your skirt..

Carbon is life.

I guess that is why Tesla has almost $1 billion in deposits for cars yet to come off the assembly line.

I don’t wear skirts but my Mustang will blow yours off.
Nice idea but there is no amount of man-made greenhouse gasses that would stop a cooling event or even put a dent in it. Just lay back and enjoy the snow and the snow and did I mention the snow?
German is getting rid of all its fossil fuel and nuclear power plants - wind and solar only - and so much for German electric cars ...
Great post with valuable information. I have researched the cost of electric cars concerning the lithium technology. You can buy lots of gasoline for the replacement cost you will need to do when they reach their lifespan. Given their poor range in cold weather, they could be a death trap. They also affect the resale of the vehicle. A Hybrid will depreciate faster than the comparable gas car because of the battery. Some depreciate by as much as 70% over five years. That’s more gas you could have bought for the loss of value.
I’d hate to break this to you, but hot women I know would likely prefer the electric faggot car. Sure, a lot of women try to gauge a man’s income by the price of his car, they couldn’t care less about speed. Not to mention, electric cars are expensive too, and sports cars do a lot more to impress other men than they ever did for women. Unfortunately for you, your sports car happens to be a Dodge and nobody is impressed by that.
