One of the videoblog I watched recently discussed the four o’clock release of news coming from someone connected to DNC. (It was not Maggie. But implied she got her marching orders from this source.)
Is that Val’s new job in DC? It reminded me of taking strips off AP or UPI and setting them up directly for local papers. The only things changed were the headlines and length of articles to fit the amount of space left in the column.

Subject: In-town pool report #1 - motorcade departs WH

Good morning!

Your print pooler didn’t get the message that call time had been moved up dramatically, and so missed the motorcade. TV pooler Freddie Tunnard of NBC is graciously sharing TV pool reports with me, which I will onpass to print pool. Thank you, Freddie!!! (and the TV pool for agreeing to this arrangement)

Here’s the first report:

Motorcade rolling at 9:24am (destination TBA). I believe we got a quick shot of the president getting into his car.
We spotted Sen. Lindsey Graham walking toward the motorcade with golf clubs just after 9am and we got a quick shot of him as well. We will plan to feed that along with our motorcade material upon our arrival at our destination.

The press van split off from the motorcade as it turned into the driveway at Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, VA at 10:00am. It was lightly raining for most of the ride here (which was uneventful).

The pool has been moved back into the vans and we are staged right outside the entrance to Trump National Golf Club.

The motorcade is rolling from Trump National Golf Club as of 3:17pm.

As we pulled away there were a few people standing on the sidewalk near the entrance to the club, one of whom was holding a sign that said something like “Hate Has No Home Here” (please check tape to confirm this exact quote).
