Here’s what a lot of people get wrong about that FISA warrant renewal that Rosenstein signed on June 29, 2017.

HE’S not the affiant of the warrant. That is, he wasn’t the person/s that swore under penalty of perjury that everything in that warrant was true.

The people who supposedly ‘investigated’ Carter Page & *presented* that warrant to Rosenstein so he could sign it and keep it in effect, THEY are the ones that are perjuring themselves, not him.

As I point out in my column, Rosenstein actually EXPLAINS this to Rep. Matt Gaetz; or rather, he TRIES TO, but his point goes right over Gaetz’s head.

Well Rosenstein didn’t *investigate* or *gather* any of the supposed evidence in that Carter Page warrant. He had people presenting the END PRODUCT of an investigation summarized in a warrant.

If that warrant is tainted, THEY are ones in deep trouble, not him.

I’m still trying to wrap my head around the fact the SpyGate plotters were actually DUMB enough to present that warrant to the new guy, Rosenstein, for that last renewal when he wasn’t one of theirs.
