POTUS motorcade is rolling this Easter morning, departed Mar-a-Lago at 10:55 a.m.

It’s 70 degrees and sunny.

History suggests POTUS will be attending an Easter church service north of his estate on Palm Beach

POTUS has been tweeting in recent hours - Mueller fallout, Sri Lanka, economy

Subject: Travel pool 2 — Arrival at church; brief POTUS remarks

POTUS motorcade arrived at The Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea in Palm Beach shortly after 11 a.m.

POTUS said upon arrival:
“Happy Easter everybody, have a great day”
“A lot of great things are happening for our country”
Asked if he felt betrayed by staff he just smiled and turned away; clearly heard question
POTUS is in dark suit and FLOTUS in a floral dress
Tiffany Trump is accompanying them

Pool is holding in an overflow room that has a live feed of the service.

The First Family has celebrated Easter here before, and POTUS and FLOTUS were married here in 2005.

Motorcade departed church at 12:23 p.m.

Pooler was unable to spot POTUS or FLOTUS as they departed service

Update to earlier church roster: Tiffany Trump was accompanied by her boyfriend, Michael Boulos

Church service started at 11:05 a.m.

Brass music could be heard as POTUS and FLOTUS walked in, followed by “Jesus Christ is Risen Today,” a common Easter hymn, sung by choir

Other highlights:

A Gospel reading from the Book of John on the resurrection of Jesus

Sermon message from Rev. James R. Harlan, rector, was about getting out of “old dog ways” and evolving in one’s faith/always learning:

“The resurrection isn’t something merely about which we have fond memories.”

Communion was offered.

Pooler was unable to monitor POTUS during service, due to camera angle of livestream in holding room

POTUS motorcade arrived back at Mar-a-Lago at 12:30 p.m.

Waving onlookers and a sign offering support for the president were spotted along way.

Pool broke off and is idling in vans for now.
