This obstruction nonsense only serves one purpose, an impeachment road map for the dims and NeverTrumpers.

IMPEACHMENT

There is an aspect of the democrat obsession with impeachment that hasn't been discussed much lately.
It's something that younger republicans and Freepers might not have ever heard of or considered.

The democrat establishment (especially older democrats) still harbor great resentment about the republican impeachment of Bill Clinton back in 1999.
Many have been literally seething about it for 20 years.

They believe it unfairly put a black mark on the records of their star President and First Lady that has plagued them both in one way or another year after year.
And they never accepted that the impeachment was appropriate or warranted.
After all, they said, it was only sex between two consenting adults.

Since then they have been obsessed with getting back at republicans by impeaching a republican president.
They want to even the score and they don't care who the republican president is, what the alleged offense may be, or even if an impeachment is justified.

It's not wrongdoing they want to address - they just want payback.

In the years before the Clinton impeachment talk of impeaching presidents was not common. (at least after the FDR reign!)
But since the Clinton impeachment democrats can't shut up about it - it's never off the table.

Today they are doubly fired up about impeaching President Trump.
Not only did he commit the unforgivable graven sin of keeping Hillary out of the White House.
For that offense they don't believe he deserves the presidency and are determined to bring hurt to him some way - any way.

Secondly, a Trump impeachment would also give them their long denied payback for Bill Clinton - balancing out the modern day impeachment score at 1 and 1.

Impeaching @realDonaldTrump will backfire. Bill Clinton’s impeachment caused his approval rating to soar. Trump is already at 55%. Impeaching him will embolden his base for 2020 and boost his approval rating even more. The Dems would be committing political suicide.

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) blasted Sen. Mitt Romney on Friday after the Utah Republican said he was “sickened” by President Trump’s actions in the Mueller report.
