Makes sense generally.

Mostly people buying chocolate and going to their “Tea room” for lunch and dinner. A good advertisement for travel to their country.
If I have to travel to Europe its going to be to Switzerland, and I know where to go to sit and have coffee and pastries while I wait to be called by the consulate personnel to apply for a passport!

I’m assuming you are a US citizen. If so, you would use a US passport, and there is no need for a Visa to Switzerland.

American foreign service posts always have at a minimum a two door system for entry; most have a wall before the building itself. If you work in the Information Processing Center, after going thru Post 1, there are several more doors, locks, unicams, spin dials, and alarms before you enter your vault... and more combinations before you unlock anything or rev up the communications;)
