Chris Evans says he might have to cut ties with Tom Brady: I really hope hes not a Trump supporter
Captain America star Chris Evans talked politics in a recent interview and said he really hopes the quarterback of his favorite team, Tom Brady, is not a supporter of President Trump.
Evans, 37, conducted a tell-all interview with The Hollywood Reporter that was published Wednesday. The discussion turned to politics when the issue of the actor's vocal political views on social media came up.
"You don't want to alienate half your audience," Evans told magazine of his tweets. "But I'd be disappointed in myself if I didn't speak up. Especially for fear of some monetary repercussion or career damage that just feels really gross to me."

Who?
“That rings of Mao and the Cultural Revolution.”
Reeducation. Self Criticism. If they can gather enough power, then that is in the cards for those of us they deem redeemable. The rest of us, well, I don’t know about you but I’m going down fighting.
Yeah? And I’ll just have to cut ties with viewing anything in which you appear, fascist!
No male is allowed to play at being a star in Hollywood without letting himself be sodomized by the power players.
Just keep that in mind.
I hate Hollyweird Nazis.
I saw an IMAX over the past weekend about rescue dogs. He narrated it. Never heard of him. Figured he was a Hollywood preener and prima.
OK. You were indeed blessed to have many “friends”. I can only come up with one or two and one of them is my wife of the past 51 years.
He says he doesn’t want to “...alienate half his audience.” The logic of that statement is stunning. Which half as opposed to which half?
As Joan Jett sang:
Losin friends, losin friends
Ya got nothin to lose
Ya dont lose when you lose fake friends
What the h3ll is a Chris Evans? I know who Tom Brady is, but I don’t know this Chris Evans character.
“she accused me of having a black heart for not supporting abortion.”
How times have changed; this was one of the “crimes against humanity” for which Nazis were hung at Nuremberg. Life is too short for me to voluntarily deal with people like this. I can co-exist with them in a workplace environment and be civil elsewhere, but simply see no point in knowing them or caring what they think.
Exactly! I dont have time to deal with voluntarily insane people any longer. Theres enough drama in life on a good day. I will not subject myself to someone elses instability nor do I care what they think of me. Ive got a life to live and will go about my day accordingly. With one eye open, of course, and protection in my purse!
The polarization has become so extreme, and the attacks on our traditions and culture so outrageous, I honestly don’t know how anyone (on either side) could genuinely befriend someone on the other.
From my viewpoint, why would I interact with someone who hates my people (race, gender, and faith), openly calls for the marginalization of us, and demands my income to pay for it all?
Most of my friends in college are flaky to start with. I was a theater major in college which is flaky in and of itself. As you study theater and acting and directing, you get grounded in lots of anti-American plays like pretty much everything written by Arthur Miller. I eventually lost interest in theater and moved on, but they did not. They still believe the anti-American pro-Commie crap they learned in college. Every other comment they make is about how stupid Trump is, and how important global warming is, and what a racist country the USA is, and how evil Christians are, etc. So, I moved on from those people.
