Jussie Smollett's Lawyer now Calls on Chicago Cops to Probe Nigerian Brothers' Role in 'Race [Trunc]

Empire star Jussie Smollett's lawyer is trying to shift attention back to two brothers who told police they were paid by the actor to help stage a racist attack on him.

After all 16 charges were dropped against Smollett, his lawyer Patricia Brown Holmes said investigators should look into the role of Abimbola 'Abel' Osundairo and Olabinjo 'Ola' Osundairo, who are of Nigerian descent.

Ms Holmes said: 'The two men who attacked him have indicated that they attacked him, so we already know who attacked him.'

Wow! You know what would be cool? A TV series of the adventuring Nigerian brothers traveling the world, just one step ahead of a mysterious DNC hitman.

These brothers are obviously in good shape so let's also make them martial arts experts for the show (and crack race drivers / rifle shots.) Everywhere they go, the brothers find some downtrodden person or family who needs their help. Toward the end of the episode or sometime during the plot there is always a sub-plot of some hired thugs trying to kill them. The brothers use their fighting skills to ward off and/or dispatch the killers while saving the people they meet.

Next episode there is always another person or group in need of their help - in some other country. They must constantly stay on the move.

That would be a huge mistake on the part of the State’s Attorney’s office. So would filing suit against the Chicago PD.

The State’s Attorney asked the judge to nolle prosequi the case and seal the record. Double jeopardy does not attach to a nolle request. Good old Jusse could be indicted again.

As a matter of fact, if the SA office would file charges against the brothers, the defense could ask for the evidence to be unsealed to determine if there was exculpatory evidence that would help their client. Once the evidence is unsealed, I could see where the Illinois Attorney General would ask for a “special prosecutor” to take the case away from the Chicago SA office based on irregularities.

Grab the popcorn, and hope Jusse decides to sue the Chicago PD. It would be poetic justice if he gets re-indicted because of his stupidity.
