Robert King David Ross of Charleston wears his Egyptian headress while reading the 23andMe letter informing him of his familial link to Pharoah Ramsesses III
Robert Ross retired as a management analyst with the U.S. General Accounting Office in Chicago, moved back to Charleston and currently works as a sexton at Morris Street Baptist Church.
But most people probably recognize him for the distinctive black-and-gold Pharaoh headdress he often wears around town to express his passion for ancient Egypt.
In other words, hes been wearing it long before a 23andMe letter arrived in January analyzing his DNA a letter that would move him to tears and confirm his many years of work.
You share an ancient paternal lineage with Pharaoh Ramesses III, it read. You and Ramesses III share an ancient paternal-line ancestor who probably lived in north Africa or western Asia.
Ross was ecstatic.
When I first read it, I was so happy, and I was just so glad, he said. Then I thought, No wonder Im re-enacting and doing certain things thats sort of unexplainable. Its all part of the gene!

the rest of the Ramses III keyword, chrono sort:
Years ago I saw a TV show where people who claimed to have lived before attended a party in their original dress. When interviewed, all of them claimed to be related to some king or other royalty. None ever claimed to have been a serf/peon/helot in their former life.
I always wonder where, under deep hypnosis (Bridie Murphy) where people claimed to have lived in olden times, if the hypnotist ever asked what the price of food, or a donkey was in their time - or write in their language, if literate (a stretch) or name the current ruler. I bet that would trip up a lot of ‘em.
