After it claimed no such document existed, the Justice Department just unearthed a letter Matt Whitaker delivered to the Utah U.S. attorney directing a review of how the department handled the Clinton Foundation and the Uranium One issues.
Then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions wrote the letter on Nov. 22, 2017 for Utah U.S. Attorney John Huber. Matt Whitaker, who was Sessions’ chief of staff at the time, emailed the letter to Huber that day, writing, “As we discussed.” He also sent Huber a copy of a letter the Justice Department’s Congressional affairs chief sent to the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee on Nov. 13 of that year.
The existence of a letter documenting Sessions’ directive that the DOJ revisit probes of Trump’s top political foe is a surprise because a department lawyer said in court last year that senior officials insisted it didn’t exist. The liberal nonprofit American Oversight obtained the letter through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request they filed on Nov. 22, 2017––the same day Whitaker emailed Sessions’ letter to Huber.....

the last 16 months has had the justice department and the FBI cleaning house so if and when criminal charges are brought forward on the Clinton and the Obamas you have a chance that the bureaucrats wont be able to sabotage a prosecutin.

Also I believe the republicans and democrats all buy into the DC culture and don’t want to be too disruptive. The rule of power may make one gun shy.

Nothing is happening. If there is plenty of evidence of wrong doing, which there is in plain sight, a leak would not be disruptive of the path to justice.
A well used tactic is to leak “something is about to be done about the corruption”, in order to head off the push for justice. It diffuses those who would normally take action, causing them to just “wait for the shoe to drop”. They wait, and it never drops. Then the impetus passes, and all is forgotten.
Someone kindly tell me this is not what is happening here. If this is now what is happening here, I will take a nap like sleepy Sessions and you can wake me to tell me “I told you so”.
The Republicans don’t want justice because they are deep state beneficiaries.
